Welcome, Evan. Can't speak for others, but I don't mind.

No, not so much of a hot needle feeling. More of a pulled muscle sort of feeling, in the soft spots above and below (but not directly behind) the knee cap. Leaves me with a generalized weakness in the strength of the joint so that landing hard on it made the thing feel like it would give way. Worse coming down stairs, no bother at all going up, for some reason.

I'm just amazed at how much better it feels after not using it for just four days. Two nights ago I still could not run one step, but last night I was able to do a little light jogging (gotta hurry to catch that bus out of Port Authority!) and had no trouble. Today it feels even better.

Can't wait for those pedal extenders!

Hope the extenders help...

After about 2 month of having my car I started to get the "hot needle pain" sometimes it last for days, then goes away. Have the pain as I type. I think I'll go for a drive, that should take the mind off it

These car is worth the pain

No argument from me there. But, I still would like to try to avoid the pain to begin with if at all possible!

I'll let you all know how the extenders work out when I get them installed.

Awww, SeanR dropped his wife's pic? Even I could appreciate that one.... May have given me aspirations beyond my abilities, but hey, we all need dreams, right? LOL.

Not so sure I'm liking Fabio's new one though. But then again, I never was an "*** lady".

Sit on a chair and extend your leg as far as you can, make sure your quadriceps muscle is fully flexed (the one in front of your upper leg). You're now hyperextending your knee and pulling your quadriceps tendon as tight as it will go. You're also pulling your patella (kneecap) hard up against your femur. Does that re-create the pain you're having?
Aaron, is the tree a special option, or did it grow while waiting for you to get up to speed?

The Doctor has spoken - he is one of the best I have ever known (do not know many ).
Reminds me of a session at my place a couple of years ago when Ernie screwed up his shoulder by falling over on my Tennis Court and instructing innocent bystanders to relocate his shoulder for him.

Good morning, All,

Hi Ernie, The answer is no. But then again, I'm not pushing against anything doing that. When I moved the car out of the driveway this morning (even with that dead water pump, with 3 vehicles and a single-wide driveway, still gotta play a lot of musical cars, especially when the one desired is in the garage ) I noticed that the pain was definitely still there when fully clutching, but at a much reduced level.

The knee is definitely feeling better again, today over yesterday, and even coming down stairs was not as painful this morning. My husband is wondering if I might be developing arthritis and just don't recognize it as such yet. I think, if I were, I wouldn't be improving every day that I don't drive the car.

Pedal extenders are on their way as we speak, thanks to Matt ( ), so maybe by this time next week, with the replacement water pump and pedal extenders installed, I'll have some much better news to share.

Thanks, Leslie

If you just take a 2x4 and cut it to size and duct tape it on it will give you an idea if it will still cause pain.
