Default New leather interior

Wow, Rob spent about 12 hours yesterday in my car putting my dash, pod, and console back in. (Not counting the ribs.) We also put Pauls air bag wheel in at the same time.

I tired to get him to stay the night, but he left about 11:30 for Michigan. The man does great work and works like a horse.

Now when I get the rear quarters from Roger, the interior will be in good shape.

Perhaps the good faires will stop by during the next three months while I'm gone and put the engine back together and install it so all I have to do is the paint work when I get back.

Can't wait to get it back together and head for DR's and the twin screw.

I may spend the night in it tonight, if it doesn't get too cold.

Please don't notice the console side panels that need to go back on and the other little miscellaneous things. Those will be taken care of.

We should be able to add "smell" as well as icons.

Rod (Did I mention these guys both do great work?)

Does it smell different? This is why I want a full leather interior now. The smell.

Cheaper? Yep. More Intelligent use of materials and time? Yep.

Allows me to see if my idea of an interior appointed with Sued and Super soft leather would look, feel, and smell great? Not so much.

Looks very nice indeed. For a few extra hundred bucks, you REALLy should have sprung for new carpet. It is one of those minor things that makes the car look and smell new. lookng at the photo's, the old carpet takes a lot away from all the good hard work.

Thanks, I have a long way to go before I catch up with you, but it's good to have a goal.

I must agree from personal experience that Rob Budd is a top-of-the-pops guy. Mighty nice looking dashboard!

No doubt, I'll be getting the remainder of the interior redyed as well, but I'm just doing jobs until I get the engine and paint done. It's a work in progress, not even cleaned up yet, so ... Next summer it will be the focus of my attention.

Rod is an great host and a pleasure to work for.
His workspace is huge and has room for a lift he'll be putting in soon.
And how about those apples!!
While I was working on the shark, Rod said "I put an assortment of apples in your truck. I hope you enjoy them"
I said "Thanks Rod", figuring a bag of apples would get me a pie and a few healthy snacks.
Later I found three 25 bags of apples. How about several apple pies, apple crisp, apple dumplings, baked apples, stewed apples, and just plain apples.!!

Thanks Rod, and the ribs were excellent also.
