Default MAF rebuilder - anyone ever used this company?

I've heard this place does inexpensive rebuilds ($150)....does anyone have any experience with them?

No affiliation. Just curious if this is an option if/when I ever need MAF work.

Another guy posted about this company a few weeks ago, he said his MAF sensor worked great.

Randy V. shut the thread down though, I suspect he will do the same with this one as they aren't a rennlist sponsor or whatever.

Someone else posted about them. Said it worked out well. Then Randy deleted becasue we have rennlist sponsors that do this. Gotta watch out for the police!

So...we're not allowed to ask questions about vendors who aren't sponsors? I'm not endorsing anyone. I wanted to know whether anyone had opinions about a vendor.

It would be truly sad if we aren't allowed to ask questions like this. It's one of the many reasons why Rennlist is a valuable resource. I'd hate to think that we're being censored from seeing information that is valuable to the community. I don't think John D.'s message about sponsors vs. non-sponsors prohibits posts like this. Anyone have a link to it?

you are an enemy of the state...no soup for you!

i agree. "WE" arent affiliated with the site..and if the business doesnt come here fishing for business whats the deal. Once the owner of that business hits the site here answering questions etc etc..or is a memeber already then yes, they should be a sponsoralso if they intend to sell or market a product

I found a great Porsche mag the other day in Borders called "928s Rule the world"...anyone read or subscribe to it...No difference in this question from what you asked Dave!

I was kind of supriseds that Randy had deleted it. Reminds me a bit of this previous thread when Sterling busted Carl for charging ~$100 for his company's sticker.

Freedom of speech is the concept of being able to speak freely without censorship. It's not just limited to the USA.

I'll tell ya what -

In the past I've deleted posts to protect our Sponsor's interests. I never get a thanks, or word of support on the forums.

Going forward, if a Sponsor does not object to the content referencing a non-Sponsor product or service - that's object publicly on the forum, not via PM or email - it can stay.

Oh, and Borland - read the Rennlist Charter before you start going off about 'free speech' on the forums.

Randy, not sure who you're looking to thank you? The community or the sponsors. Either way, I'll say it.

Thank you Randy for not letting people *****-monger thier wares on this site. That's one of the reasons why I pay to be a member.

But your offer of letting the membership clue others into a good deal unless the sponsor publicly objects is the right way to proceed IMHO. Afterall, what good is a forum if you can't help your fellow mate either by telling them what to do or how to save a buck ot two?

Randy, you're okay in my book - no matter what everyone else says.

OK...so I saved my 928th post for you....

Thank you...

This kind of discussion is what the rennlist should be about. If a site sponsor has issue with "competition" then there is something amiss. I agree that if someone pops on to the site and just posts "Here is something for sale"..buy from me etc..they yes....shut them down....but like this post...."here's a company I found....they do this etc....has anyone heard of them?" I would think this is acceptable

Most of us support the site sponsors since we typically know what we are getting...and these "other" places are usually unknowns....but they all have to start somewhere....

I seem to remember way way back...this guy in Georgia...selling 928 parts out of his garage on the now defunt porschefans (or was it porsche list )...seems he managed to turn that into a thriving business located somewhere in the southeast .

You never know where these "new" businesses may end up....most times they fade away..but a few hang in..and in the long run..it's good for all of us 928 owners..

later,
Tom

P.S. Thanks for the brewski at sharktoberfest...much appreciated..

One thing Rennlist could do,is approach any Vendor(s) being mentioned in posts and ask if they would like to become a Sponsor,as there is interest from Rennlist members about their products....if the vendor declines, then delete any posts that reference them.....
