John,
That pic kept me busy for a couple of minutes... let's see, the license plates:

first, it's good that I'm not the only one that keeps those... allow me to decipher: kikn yo = toyota? kikn si = Honda? kikn 12b = rx7? ne drgr = too easy...

also, what's the bike on the left... looks like an ancient small bore two stroke of some sort??? early TZ maybe?

Oh, on topic... here's a good one:

HA! Wow, your right on!
There is also, KIKN BMW = 320i with a 3.0CS engine, KIKN BRD = old 68 firebird, KIKN 280 = Scarab 280Z w 350 Chevy, KLR SHRK and of course the current.... try to guess.... you got it KIKN 928!! HA!

The 2 little 2-strokes (thats the parts bike) are my race only YSR 50's. I did race a TZ 125 for a few years but it is now up doing the Canadian circuit. 2-strokes (real race bikes) are really being fazed out here in the states. oh well. I have something more exciting to spend my money on now! +D

Rick: I'm woindering, if your second picture qualifies for this thread. Because it says "UNDER" the hood, rather than over.... Just kidding!!! Looks great!

Michael: This is the scariest front of a 928 engine I've ever seen. What happened there? Looks almost like someone had tried to pad the empty spaces with steel wool...

Bill: How did you get your air filter black? Or is this some kind of aftermarket filter? I love the subtle two-tone silver on your intake.

Thanks guys!

It will look much better once the plumbing and other hardware goes in. I have not been by the shop for a couple weeks and will not make it by there for at least a couple more but we should be getting close to ignition in the next couple weeks. The exhaust and plumbing just arrived a few days ago so they are probably starting to hook things up..

Tensionser pivot bolt broke at the waterpump.

Drove it into the garage... had a ticking noise, and it was due for a timing belt... I was shocked to see that when I pulled off the cover. It made a full recovery!

My favorite driveway picture, taken right after I rebuilt the intake this summer.

N!

PS: Tony, what's that second picture? REAL men fly JT9D's!
