hello All,
I was looking around ebay when I found a 1980 928 that the owner claims to have 500 hp. It states that the engine was built by 928 International. Below is the description and the link:
"This car is one of a kind. Heres why. This Porsche is equipped with a specially built engine from 928 international in California. This engine is a bored and sleeved European 5.0L S4 engine. The engine was said to be rated at 500hp, but i never had it dynoed or raced. When you drive it sure feels like 500hp! I have all documentation and repair records to prove this."

Can anyone confirm???

Even if he did have the motor built with an s4 bottom end, it would still be nowhere near 500 horsepower...
Heck, you could have a complete GTS engine, and it still would not be making 500 horsepower.

I love ads like this. I took someone for a ride in my 79 track car (225rwhp so nothing real special it does have wide open pipes though, sounds fast) - he's now telling people my 928 is the fastest car in the world. Oh well.
