to the sellers point that it has xx number of people watching, I AM WATCHING IT! I am watching it for ****s and giggles nothing more.

And as for ebay transactions, no not specifically an issue with an ebay listing but I do take offense with misrepresentation of goods, especially when the seller knows that what they are saying is bull****. Some of you know of some of my issues that I have freely posted about and yeah I have a serious problem with people misrepresenting what they sell! I have nothing to do with this car, dont really care, if someone buys it for $7500 and is happy with it then good for them, my issue is that you gross misstatement about the condition and performance of that engine. Whats worse is you freely admit here on this board you know it has no where near 500hp!

I am done with this topic, but I do take offense with misrepresentation, yes, wether it relates to me or someone else i will speak up on it. This ad reflects very poorly on you, your company, your intelligence and that kind of reputation will catch up with you at some point.

good luck

ok i got on earlier today and changed the listing so everyone can relax. I also contacted all people who have shown intrest in the car about the update, but they will see that on the listing anyways. I don't want any of you guys to think i'm "screwing" someone on this car, so i changed it so all of you can understand it better and not think there are any cover ups. I was actually wrong myself by thinking it was bored and sleeved. The documentation i have on the vehicle just gave specs, so i assumed. In talking with mark he gave me the right info. I also was wrong about the clutch kit. It did say "performace kit" on the sheet, but i guess all the clutch kits are made the same way, my mistake. I should have just called 928 from the get go. I am glad i got to use this site. I did not know if it before and there is alot of interesting info on here. I also changed my explantion of things being perfect, because i don't want that word to mislead anyone either. Perfect is the wrong word for a 1980. I'm glad you brought some of these things to my atention. I am new to ebay and these are the first cars i've tried to sell. Cut me a brake i'm learning!! Thank you all for your input, whether good or bad, it was still helpful. I look forward to using this site and maybe i can be helpful to someone in the future.

hey not all 1980's are pieces of ****!!! There is a local dealer listing one for 10,500 with that same mileage as mine and in pretty good shape. But 10,500 is still high even i know that!

a 1980 whatever is crap compared to the cars i mentioned above, 500 HP club is no joke, again, ive never owned a 500HP car, cant think of ever driving one either honestly.

relax OB'ers it was a simple comparison, and i think you would all take one of the above mentioned cars in trade for your 80's 928, I know i would

Ryan, I might take any in trade except for the vette. Now THAT is crap.... And yes, I know I could sell it and buy a GTS.... but still... it's a religious thing.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and own up to what you have. If this had been a Honda with a chrome kit on the engine, people would not question what you have to the extent that the Porsche enthusiasts do. I hope you get more than you paid for on that car and welcome to Rennlist.

Sorry your introduction to the site had to be so harsh, but we all learn.

Good luck.

I saw the love and humor. I was being sarcastic. Hope it came across that way. At the same time, with super cars, you get 5-10% more performance for each 2-3 times the price. Once you have a car that handles the street like a 928 and hits 60 around 6 seconds, hitting it in 5.3 doesn't really mean that much. That early 928, may not win, but it will compete and stay real close behind in the super car's rear mirror...at 1/10th the cost.

Then again if I could afford the super car, I'd most likely be on the otherside of the argument...

Interesting thread, I think Ryan needs more fiber in his diet. He sounds so pissed. So a man wrote something that someone else interpreted as something malicious, while the subjective writer felt it as some more innocous.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/innocuous

It is what it is and at the end of the day it comes down to "Buyer Beware".

Everybody relax

I have a CF Envader hood for sale, CHEAP! We could add this to add at least the look of ricer HP.
Just kidding, nobody likes the ricer hood, and maybe it will make a nice sled for the winter.
