Default my 928 is on crack!! (engine runs when switched off - RV)

I have just replaced my odometer gear and I have encountered a new problem in the past couple of days. I came home last night suprise and I turned off my car and too my suprise it is still running.I jiggled, removed, and reinserted my key but it keeps on running. I understand that maybe the car did not want to come home. Is this a ignition switch problem, who sells replacements besides dealer, how do you remove them, or could this be another electrical issue. I have had many electrical issues latelty. My coolant guage light comes on and my cooloing flappers seem to be on some type of drug also. The keep flapping back and forth even when the car is off. My 944t is in pieces so unless I want to continuosly drive around I am screwed.

drive .. DRIVE ... DRIVE!!! LOL. Your electrical gremlins are what are normally seen in a car that has taken water into the interior.

Yes. I had something very similar. You probably have a short to ground. If you pull the fuse panel and look at the back, you may see fried or damaged wires or two that have fused themselves together. You should try to get the wiring diagrams and start looking. You need a little luck.

When it's acting up like this, pull the connector off the electrical portion of the ignition switch. If it stops, replace the switch(not the lock). If it continues, then you have to investigate further.
