Umm... I recognize the difference in the lights, but what is visually different between Euro and US bumpers - or bumper covers?

Also interesting about his car is the license plate. It has a European "D", but the letter/number combo is anything but German.

German plates ALWAYS have the numbers last (up to 4 digits), preceeded by up to two letters. Before those is the letter combo for the city or county in which the car is registered (one to three letters). Then there are special plates for seasonal registration, temporary registration, and export registration - but they all look different from this one.

So, what is this - a vanity plate in the UK?

Dan's car, though just a "Euro" by his standards, is a perfect example of that! His photo shows the difference of how good the original 928 front end was SUPPOSED to look before the nimrods at the USDOT got hold of the cars. JUST the original in-bumper lighting makes the car (IMHO) look like the "business" is was intended to! Different trim, lighting assembly, purpose and NO foolish 5mph bumper!!!. Oh yea...8" H4's not the useless 7" H5's.

Very aggressive looking car Dan!

I totally agree.
Awesome looking are you have there Dan.
I wish i could have an 85 as well as the S4 but i xant afford it now.
I love the S look

All bridled and saddled for a trip from Bozeman to Boise in a couple of days. It's the first time I've used the bra (both mirrors and front) but I thought it a good idea for the road trip.

I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. Cheers. Dane

Just to illustrate what Nicole pointed out, this is an example how german plates look like! Except may be the 04/10 at the end, this means that the car is only allowed to be run between April and October. This is a possibility to save money for people like me who don't drive the car in the "bad" season (lots of rain, snow, salt...)!

Picture was taken at Weissach. I have not seen many 928's that are registered all year round. Most of them have temporary license plates. I drive mine from May until September.
During the winter I take the 944 S2. Yes, life is so rough

You must have read it incorrectly Nicole. I didn't say there was a difference, I was referring to the lighting inside the bumper meaning the fog/driving as compared to the nonsense-able US version having driving/parking.

Nicole, I think that's the idea....
Who needs to see side flashers when they don't flash?

Hello Holgie: Showin' off your new rims?

Hi Nicole!

Yes!!! You got it!
I'm really quite happy with them!
And btw, my little daughter looks also happy with "papa's" new rims!

Greetings

Holger
