Ok, back to the pics in this picture thread.
Some 928 oddities I saw at a Porsche meeting yesterday.
This is "hand made" by the owner. Too bad the front tires were mounted against the driving direction (oops).
This one looks good but nothing out of the ordinary at first. The sign says it was restored by mr. Franco Sbarro, a known (?) designer of concept cars. Apparently mr. Sbarro doesn't let a sunroof get in the way of his ideas.

Hallo Aryan!
Mr Sbarro did some work over VW GOLF, including some heart transplant with a well know V8 of us
http://golfstory.free.fr/php_photos/...lf1bizarre.php
"After he crushed his Porsche 928 S, Rolland Affolter asked Franco Sbarro to save the Porsche engine and to graft it into a VW Golf body."
Still 1400 Kg (over 3000 lbs)
Top speed : 161 mph
0 à 100 km/h : less than 7 sec
1000m : 26,4 sec.
Cheers,
Michel

Poor man's Sharkwoofer; Mazda Protege 6 spare tire subwoofer covered by a Jerry Feather abs spare tire cover. Works great! Awaiting productized Hans' early front door speakers set....

Short list done.
Timing Belt, Water Pump, Pulleys, Tensioner, Heater valve, Shocks all around.
Tranny Fluid, Filter. Alpine, Fuel Filter.
Fixed: Taillights mess., Ride Height, Vac Leaks, Cooling fan wires, etc etc. Drives much nicer now. Shocks were the most difficult. Makes Timing belt and tensioner look easy.

Cool pic. Tight, but protected. No way you'll pick up door dings from other cars in that spot . I really like those Cayman S wheels on the 928 BTW.
What are the chances that the US Capitol Police let me park here on Sunday?

Finally got her assembled and initial compounding done. Life got in the way of finishing so threw some wax on there so the paint would be protected until after the move. :P
