Thanks! Was going to be my early model ‘keeper’ but I ended up with an earlier one that I’m working on. This one has been completely gone through. I will be submitting it to BAT but $75k would take it before then. 😀
I would hesitate selling such a beautiful car with that spec and color combo 🥰 I believe that car has lived in Sweden (were I live) for a while?
Would love to know more about the other "erlier" you have, got to be something to eclipse this one!

In the middle of restoring the number 11 preproduction Petrol Blue car.
Can someone tell me what the additional markings on the paint code are? Most midnight blue cars i look at just say 39C 9 3. What does the WBL mean? I have been trying to figure this out regarding my amazon GTS.
here is my GTS
93 GTS
93 964 C2
The factory documentation calls them both as:
39A amazonasgrün- P2 X perlcolor. It is my understanding the pearl color paints used Mica to color shift vs metallic yet they call my cobalt metallic and it color shifts much more than both my Amazon green cars?
If anyone has a source for what these suffixes like WBL and MS mean that would be helpful.
I'm going to guess that WBL is 'Wasserbais-Lack', whereas the MS on your Amazon Green just means 'Metallic'
Paint code legend from a Porsche Classic brochure on paint systems:
U = Uni Solid color
M = Met Metallic
P = Perlcolor Pearl color
W = Wasserbasis-Lack Water based paint
1 = Einschichtverfahren (Single Layer)
2 = Zweischichtverfahren Two-shift process (BC/CC)

That makes sense and conforms to the factory document I have. Now my real confusion the factory document on offered paint colors through 1994 shows Amazon 39A as P2 so if my GTS has MS than it is metallic vs pearlcoat? I must assume my C2 is pearlcoat then since it doesn't have the MS? Both are similar with slight variations in shade although my C2 has what appears to be heavy metallic flake and the GTS is very fine more of what I would expect from a pearlcoat.
I think I am more confused LOL
Thanks for opening my eyes to what I had in front of me.
I have an unhealthy obsession with the mayhem that is Porsche's paint, interior, carpet and seating code systems over the course of production. Little bits here, little bits there, no unified dataset. Hopefully someday it'll all make sense.
I appreciate the insight. My knowledge has been mostly spread over the 964 line which has taken me 20 years to figure out 98% of it. My sudden renewed interest in my 928 has me researching as much as I can and I am not sure I have enough years left but am determined to learn everything I can. Although there is a huge wealth of knowledge here vs on the 964 forums.
