Just out of the box. Part number matches original amps on car. Job done! Testing successful...purrs like a kitten. A note on thermal paste. I used first MAF cleaner to get the old off....and I had used WAY too much..it had squeezed out under them and was still gooey!...then a very very light circular session with .0001 steel wool...made a diff....did a little steel wool on btm of new amps too. Applied such a thin layer of paste this time you could pretty easily see through it to the heat sink. Screws have a fine thread so tightened firm + 1/4 or so.
Saving the original amps (from Germany of course, but these from Taiwan feel nice and heavy like the originals) for a little while until I'm satisfied they've been run long enough and hard enough.
Update: Test drive ran great...improved smoothness, responsiveness with just a dab more power... def. worth replacing 36 year old amps...
