"Currently has blown transmission". I think he found, and resoundly crossed the drivetrain hp limit. This would be a risky proposition without being able to test drive the vehicle. It would be impossible to tell if the car had driveability issues, overheating, ect. I wonder what his reserve is. Not sure what I would be willing to cough up for the impressive hardware. Probably a lot if the motor sounds like 700 HP.

If it's done right, nothing has been cut or mangled, comes with the original engine, and the original engine can be put back in, it should do well.
But then the market for this set up is quite smaller than it is for 928s in general.
And this is going to be a large factor

I''m going to be in NJ in late August installing a couple 928 dashes. If its still around I'll definitely take a look at it.

The picture in front of the stores is just 10 min. from my work.
Wonder how he drives it with a blown trans?
Would like to see that "700hp" dyno run

The passenger side has the original LT1 cast iron manifold and I can’t see the driver side. This makes it even more interesting to see where the turbo is mounted. The air filter is at the front so that eliminates the rear turbo setup.

The 700 is doubtful, but not impossible. I simply don't see the point of removal of the 4-cam engine from this car. 16V cars, that I can understand...sort of. The 32V engine is such a nice piece though...

I expect the turbo is mounted in the drivers side engine compartment just under the intake duct.
The pictures are so bad, it's hard to say if its a hack job.
He says the original 928 motor can be rebuilt. I wonder what went wrong with it.
With 50K invested, I'll bet he spent more on the 928 parts then on the conversion. I know I did.
