Rear mounted 928 turbo

Tom's back in Alaska for 2 weeks guys. We'll dyno the car when he gets back. We haven't tried it yet with the smaller injectors. He's had the system on for a long time now with no complications. I think it's absolutely viable as a performance option, but taking it from a tuner's mod to kit form is the big trick.
Hat's off to Murph and DR for pulling that one off.

Who do you mean when you say " they"? Is this an STS kit or from someone else. I spoke to STS some time back about a "universal" type of kit. They quoted me about $4500.00. I can not justify spending that kind of money for the few meger parts they are calling a kit. What's their mark up on this stuff? 500%. Seems way out of line to me.

"They" are P-Motorsports.
I don't know what they will be charging for the Rear Mount Turbo kit when it is ready, I'm not affiliated with their business in anyway. I do know that they are going to be marketing a complete bolt on kit. They've been keeping a low profile just because they don't have anything to talk about yet. When they have a kit completed to their satisfaction, I'm sure everyone will be hearing a lot from them.
Haven't a lot of folks paid at least $4500 to put forced induction on their 928's? I don't think that price is per se out of line. It sounds like the STS "kit" you inquired about wasn't anywhere near a bolt on kit though, maybe that's your point. The P-Motorsports system will be a complete kit.

Nice... considering the space issue under the hood of my '85 AT ( enormous intakes ) this kit looks like the best option -
1. Is this a boxed kit or al custom made and you just can't get one ( I live in Canada... )
2. How would it fair compared to a SC kit like what Carl Faussett has ?
