but he's sure it's got a strong spark, so.... a plugged airway of somekind in the middle of the intake.... just pull off the plenum sidecovers and do a quick check to insure nothing fell in there??

I've had birds make a mess on my airplane engine when I didn't bother to put in the cowl plugs. once it wouldn't start due to all the debris from a nest.... good thing too - or it would've been a nice fire or an in flight/engine out adventure. rodents can be rather industrious too..

A mouse or rat crawling in would not be unheard of! Of cause you would fry it if the engine ran long enough.
Ask me how i know!

It was a combination of the passenger cam being out of time and the injector harness having some intermittent shorts. I understand that there is a few thousand miles on the car now, the rear mount turbo is on, and it is currently being "shark tuned" with a super maf, 30lb injectors, and running 7-10lbs psi. Should be dynoed pretty soon.

Switch the connections on the output stage (finned box in front of rad) and see if that switches the firing plugs to non-firing and visa versa.

Hi!
Should i switch the connections internal in the connector..?
I have spark on all cylinders but like on your car the 4 inboard cylinders are not running.

No, the other side, under that rectangular plastic cover. The one you've circled is the fan controller.

Clean machine!

Hi again!
Did not make any difference when i switched the cables...still not running on 2,3,6,7.
got spark on all 8 sylinders,good compresion and i can smell fuel from the non working cylinders.

This is how it is,working (=0) and not working (=X).

.... Front ....
5=0 .... 1=0
6=X .... 2=X
7=X .... 3=X
8=0 .... 4=0

Got the same thing going on with my '91 $$$$4. After we replaced the plugs, injectors, fuel lines, pumps, caps, rotors, tps, cps, knock sensors etc. now we are running on four cylinders. Suspecting the coil after we found a broken coil ground wire, and will order one today. I'm interested in your outcome too!

Been searching some more and when i pull the spark plugs after running it plugs on the non working sylinders are wet with fuel. Got some spark on the plugs to but it looks very,very weak.
Cant find anything common for the non running cylinders...any ideas anyone?
