Default +Brake noise toc toc toc+

Just had my brakes pads and rotor replaced on all 4 wheels. 928S 84
At first, everything was fine and then it started to toc toc toc when aplying the brakes...the freequency is in relation to speed. The faster the wheel turns the faster the toc toc toc. To my noledge(sp), I don't have ABS... It appears to be coming from the front driver side. the rotors are the sloted kinds. To late to take the wheel off, but I did feel the bolts and to the touch looks tight.
Anyone experienced that? What might it be???
Yes I will contact the wrench(not an amateur) as soon as possible!

thanks

Could this be an issue with your tire, or maybe a bent rim?

Perhaps something got caught in one of the rotor slots. Jack up the suspected wheel and spin it while observing. Look on the inside as well.

Could be a loose rotor weight clip or a rock

Just talked to the wrench and he says that the rotors and pads that I have are JUNK. http://www.vertexauto.com/index.php?...detail&sk=2109

According to him, the slots should be "beveled" and these are not and the pads were not antiratle equiped (nothing in the box).

OK, you might say he could have caled me (wich he almost did) but I have only me to blame for buying them (not knowing they were junk).

He say that if the situation does not improve by the end of the week, to drop by and he will bevell them...he won't leave me like this he said...sound like a empathic(sp) fellow.

Moral of this story, check with your local friendly neighbourhood wrench before bying stuff and here as well...

Any of you have experience with these rotors??

Dan,
Don't know if this applies to you, but I bedded in my brakes and all was good...

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/279448-rythmic-grinding-noise-when-applying-brakes.html

Got my brakes from Vertex as well.

Best of luck with it.

Regards,
Bill

Thanks Bill,
Don't know if it will help with the "jumping pad" syndrom but will help with braking power wich at the moment is weak to say the least...

He could have at least turned off spell check on his write-up.
