yep. PVGP/Rendezvous - what a scoop that would be.
This is the reason I went after the big trailer. I was going to surprise the crew... I'd have backed the GTE out and then have Samuel drive Pearlglanz out and park it next to drooman's numero uno!
What fun that would have been!
Now the whole adventure is in jeopardy as I need a hip replacement surgery (sudden onset AVN) and all the hospitals are maxed out with covid! So I'm desperately looking for surgical openings as the earliest slot is August 31st with my favorite surgeon. I will be taking any cancellation that opens up and that might be during PVGP! Yikes!
Enough about that, here's another shot of the "Green Pearl" as Samuel named it...
I remember sitting in this car inside the showroom at champion when it was new then recoiling in horror when I saw the window sticker. I used to see it around pompano beach driven as a dd.
Driving to Lyon My brother and I meeting Pearlglanz for the first time. Ten year search… Our friend Regis Perrin…the French liaison and without whom this would never have been possible…. She’s unbelievably beautiful!
Im' sad that I wasn't able to secure the car for Dave, but glad that she will be in good hands. And yes, the colours are far better in person than I was expecting.
So you were the "other American with a French friend"
It seems that Régis phoned just a few days before me, and that made the difference

Well,
My brother Sig and I were on that car for a number of months…after following for ten years searching..Andrew McCulley was instrumental in providing information and links to its whereabouts and availability - and
my good friend Roland (Regis’ Uncle) had a HUGE part to play - he did all the negotiations - Roland was the buyer of my home in Pittsford and has become a close friend…I think he’s still not fully understanding of the importance of this car, but he pursued it fully on my behalf.
It’s definitely a culmination of a dream - finding it, seeing it and then driving it last night was like being in a dream…still hasn’t hit me…now the process of shipping home…any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated - we kept it under wraps for obvious reasons until now…
