That is not S4 wing. Its 596 Spoiler painted matte black option. GTS wing painted black to look like S4 wing but its smooth.

They are obviously old pics - those seats aren't tan as indicated in the description! Who knows what the car really looks like. I agree with Imre - this stinks big time!

Yes, that is my old GTS from about 6 or 7 years ago. And yes, that is the one I almost rebought again about a year ago.

The car is exactly as it should be. The colors are right and the options are right.

The difference a year makes is that NOW they actually have a title for it! It's obviously been bought by a dealer, so they managed to somehow get a title for it that the current owner at the time only had PHOTOCOPIES of old U.S. titles for! He had no paperwork, no records, no manuals, etc. Nothing!

The car has been detailed to the absolute best it can be. And dammit, those are the new Bridgestone tires I pre-purchased for that ******* who tried to sell me the car with photocopied titles a year ago!

The dealer had to of dyed the front seats. There's no question about that. The carpet needs total replacing as I'm sure they cleaned it the absolute best they could. The car rattled and vibrated when I went out to buy it a year ago. The current owner at the time had to bang on the drivers side headlight to get it to pop up. There was a huge dent in the front drivers side fender. It smelled of an oil leak and was smoking from underneath the car, most of the exterior lights were out and several idiot lights on the dash were constant, etc. Need I go on as to why I backed off.

It cost me nearly $2000 in hotel, flight and other expenses to fly out to Seattle to re-purchase my old car from a conman, but I was able to get $1500 of it back for fraud. I also found out after the fact, that it would have cost me quite a bit to bring that GTS back over to the States from Canada, even though it was originally a U.S. car.

It may look good in those photos, but I've owned that car before, saw it and almost made the mistake of buying it again 7 years later, and can tell you if the dealer said it's not perfect, it's probably far from it in reality................

Todd

P.S. The pictures Chuck Z supplied from the Registry were taken shortly after I sold the car to that owner from Indiana. ALOT'S changed since then, believe me!

Todd,

So sorry to hear what happened. You have always been there passing along info on these cars and it is most appreciated. I do agree however that $20k for a GTS sounded just too good no matter what. I have seen 90k mile autos sell for $36 and up so when you see that kind of price I guess we all need to proceed with care.

Lesson learned for all. Hope the next one works out better.

This is very strange as both lights share same rod which lifts them up. They can be lifted separately by hand when lift mechanism is at down position. But in this case they shouldn't stay up once left on their own. If bolts are loose in lift mechanism then its possible only one side gets up but in this case other side should not get up on its own no matter how much assembly is banged. Someone must have done something very strange to the mechanism the get that kind of functionality out of it.

Now it gets interesting. Here's Bob, the seller, you guys should ask him your burning questions here, including smelly rats and recoloured seats. I bet Bob would answer those for us all to see.
