Just returned my Dodge Charger R/T HEMI rental I had for a week. I wondered a lot about the SRT8 and what a beast it must be. I've rented the 300 also in the Touring edition and they are also really nice cars. The Chrysler/Dodge products have really impressed me over the past couple of years. Mercedes buying them is the best thing that could have happened to their company.

You made a nice buy!

p.s I drove it to Arlington, TX. this past weekend.

My father in law has a 300C. I was impressed with the car, has some pretty good pick up and go with the hemi. He says it's probably the best car he has owned, and he has owned many high end cars over the years (he is the original owner of my 81 shark). But I would love to take an SRT8 for a drive.

Gonna slap on some twenty-two's and a set of low profile tires? There are a lot of beautiful ones around here. My favorite is a two-tone Black and silver with big wheels and tires and smoked windows. Most also have custom grills. They look like a Bentley when they are all dressed up. ENJOY!!

Here is what you need to make it fast:

I thought about getting a 300C SRT8 and it still may happen but I'm having a hard time geting over the interior. I like the seats but don't care for the cheap/cheap looking dash materials. I wish the inside was as beautiful as the exterior. It's still a great buy with plenty of modability. You'll need the mods to run with the AMG's and new supercharged Caddi's.

The SRT-8 uses variable displacement technology to help conserve fuel. On the hwy, the computer will shut fuel off to 4 of the cylinders cylinders to save fuel. They are rated at 14 city and 19 hwy. That's not too bad for a heavy high performance car.

I think only the RT has the MDS system.
The SRT-8 is *****-out, performance only, and does not use the system.
It's pretty much a factory stroker version of the RT.

OK I have been moving in my new house the past two days and havent had the time to take pics. I have to hire a wrecker service to bring Becca over to the new house (timing chain KAboom)

As for the SRT8

Its a tea sipper when you need it to be\\

BUT my god I have never been in a 4door luxo liner that handles or performs like this.

The power goes on and on and on then bam the rev limiter hits and say NO MO.

It white smokes the tires all through 1st gear. Handles dare is say better then ???.......

Power everwhere and a sound that is as equal to most honorable BWAAAAAH you can find........

The SRT8 is almost as fast as a supercharged GT...
A friend of mine has one...

I get slap happy with this car every damn time i drive it. the MB tranny is spot on. the ESP on is very safe and feels good. The ESP in off is awesome and seem to give you just enought wheel spin to show off but still wont let you get sideways more then once then it slaps you in the nuts and puts you straight..

Now hold the esp for 10 seconds and you get deactivated ESP and this allows you to get plain stupid.

BTW can a supercharged GT lay down 12.9 to 13.05 1/4's?

I cant wait to get my babay back on the road.
