That is the funny part of the search.

I know that you have the same problem than me with the prototypes, lack of pictures, temporary registrations or use of plates use for many cars over the years and either unusual VINs or mixed with regular cars

The press cars are easier to manage in your case. What is really surprising is the order match of the VINs and registrations.

And here is a quick but important update.
I now have the official confirmation of my assumptions of CS prototypes.
- wp0zzz92zhs840108=>H6
- wp0zzz92zhs841129=>H43
- wp0zzz92zhs841131=>H48
- wp0zzz92zhs841267=>Hto be determinated...but I think it may be H49.

The H indicates a project car for the 1987 model-year and the number is the sequential order of the project.

By example, H21 is the well known convertible prototype and H50 is the four door prototype. Both belong to the museum, to the contrary of the CS prototypes.

Great information Samuel,

This "H" designation is new to me and I am wondering how it was applied to the Porsche product line?

How many total cars?

What models were they?

Fascinating...

The usual way of designating a project car was (is?) the model year letter followed by the number.

By example, you can find some examples online.
- 959 F7 (actually, this one has a 930 VIN!): 7th project of the 1985 (F) model-year
https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/p...ototype/693238
- 911 F22 (a very special Carrera 3.2!), 22nd project of the 1985 (F) model-year
https://www.ecurie.co.uk/blog/2016/1...era-club-sport
- 928 H21 (the convertible factory prototype), 21st project of the 1987(H) model-year
https://www.4legend.com/2018/porsche...commercialise/
- 928 H50 (the 4-door factory prototype), 50th project of the 1987 (H) model-year
https://www.classicdriver.com/en/art...orsche-928-h50

So, you get the idea, and 1987 was certainly a prolific year!

I still have others, E, H, J and K projects to identify

And here are my assumptions about the registrations of these four CS prototypes:
- wp0zzz92zhs840108=>H6=> BB-PW 935 (red, no right side mirror, nor CS sticker)
- wp0zzz92zhs841129=>H43=>BB-PW 823 (red, right side mirror, CS sticker)
- wp0zzz92zhs841131=>H48=>BB-PW 180 (red, no right side mirror, CS sticker)
- wp0zzz92zhs841267=>H49?=>S-JX 5390 (red, no right side mirror, CS sticker)

Only H43 is currently located, but need a lot of work, and I may have a way to find the last one. If you've got pictures of H43 and H48, don't hesitate to share them!
I do have some of the others two, but not many of these almost twins.

Thank you in advance.

Yep, I'm in touch with the owner

About the Pilots cars, here is my point of view, for the moment:
H54=> Mass
H53=> Stuck
H52?=>Wollek
H51?=>Bell
I should be able to confirm the project's numbers next week.

I'm in contact with the owners of the three found cars, and need to find the Ex-Wollek.

Ok. I will check if I can confirm before asking J.J. or the current owner

I was indeed right:
H54=> Mass
H53=> Stuck
H52=>Wollek
H51=>Bell

Now, where is H52?
It is the only missing of the 4.

H6, H48 and H52 are lost. Well, they may be waiting to be discovered, in fact.
