To lend support to the manipulation of prices assertion, I cite the example of Hawaii, and more specifically, Honolulu. When I lived there, the prices were well over the prices on this side of the Pacific. Only problem was that there was a refinery on the island. The gas was then shipped to California or elsewhere and priced lower than Honolulu. Give me a break. How could it be more expensive to market in Honolulu than in Oregon, when it was produced in Honolulu? When I go back next month, I expect to take a tube of Preparation H with me to use after each fill up.

Here in Oz if you were to put in 21 gallons it would be about $88, that is premium unleaded (Optimax 98 octane) so that works out at 4.15 a gallon, that is not too bad, if you need to do a lot of driving you need two cars, which is what I have, work car fun car. Problem is work car is a 3.8 liter, so that still goes through it, but it is a wagon and I need that size.

30 buck to fill up here in San Diego.

Why 30 dollars you ask?

WHY THE HELL WOULD I FILL MY TANK? Jesus people! Get real. All that weight following me around, it takes off my 0-100 runs to get on the 5 for work every morning! I can't lose those couple tenths in the quarter with all that weight? Right around 8 gallons is where I feel like its well weighted.

I asked my wife to fill my car for me... if it had worked, nothing. but she's not stupid - only mistake she's ever made was marrying me! ha! so it cost $54.40 at $3.45/gal... course that doesn't include my race gas habit - 5 gal for a friday night of stupidity at $8/gal =$43.80.

look on everyones face after getting a low 11 sec timeslip in my fat and lazy - priceless... look on my face when Im told it's crap -

$96.00 Cdn. !!!!!@ 1.28/ litre. About $5.35 per U.S. Gallon. So you guys down south better not complain, or come to Canada to fill up! It's just money, in exchange for fun.
