On a 911, you can reuse moldings if they're not bent up. The rubber usually gets destroyed taking the old one out. I'd guess it's similar on 928's. Have you removed the old one yet?
Am going to install new windscreen in my 88 S4, can I re-use the moldings, rubber, etc. Would appreciate guidance. Thanks / Hank
We just did my '85 today. We were able to re-use everything. The '85 windshield is "glued in", so there is no rubber gasket surround. We had a heck of a time getting the exterior metal trim off without mangling it, but we did get it off and back on withoug any damage.
Just keep an eye out for the trim clips and the rubber spacers on the bottom edge of the windshield and you'll be fine.
