I've got a transaxle for you if you need it...you have only to ask.
So did anyone else see that rear interior? I don't think the early cars had the center hump lock box thing...or am I loony?

Interior is exact same color combo as relatives '78 ROW VIN 00221. It also has rear box and do not have cassette holder between front seats. I think ones without rear box are generally '81-82 MY ROW 4.5L cars.

My fuzzy eyes spy 8" headlights. Wonder if they are H4 8" honkers.

I think you might be right. They probably never got federalized as the crome trim ring was a U.S. "feature" Make me wonder if the aiming mechanism is still in tact - though I doubt it.

Ok when you get to be my age, it's hard to see details even with your glasses sometimes. I can't believe I missed it I hate popup sunroofs. I have never seen one that doesn't leak...

Dam guys your slamming a lovely car for doing to it what nearly everyone on this list is doing. +1 and +2 updates using later Porsche wheels, S4 spoilers on early cars, and aftermarket steering wheels abound just about everywhere. Aside from the sunroof everything else is just later 928 updates. Unfortunately if you want a sunroof there aren't many options.

FBIII, I agree with others here, most aftermarket sunroofs leak. Most folks here wouldn't want that big hole cut in the roof, even if it wasn't leaky.
Also, isn't it possible that the original owner brought it back to the dealer to have spoilers added? I seem to remember reading somewhere that that was an option at one point...

I'm less picky than you guys as I don't have a 928 right now, but I've been looking, and I like this one. I think that retro interior and the color is worth having a pop-up sunroof, although I agree that I would much rather have it without. Anyway, how much would you all pay for such a car? I'm seriously thinking about it, so I'm curious how much I should bid.
By the way, I've owned two 928s in the past ('84 and '87) so I'm familiar and ready to get back in one for good.
Any price assistance is appreciated.
Thanks!

This is a pretty unique car, but if the paint is good and the interior is in decent shape, I'd say somewhere around $5k tops IMHO. The Euro heritage and sunroof really play havoc with the standard valuations. HTH!
