Is there a car you would give up your 928(s) to buy?

Yes you can order the Spyder with the same options as the RS60 but you end up paying full price for the options and the price goes up dramatically. When Porsche creates an option package like the RS60 you end up paying less than you would if you priced every option separately. If you priced a Boxster S with all the same options as the Spyder you would end up paying $2500 less for the S but you won't get the aluminum doors, aluminum trunk lid, or the upgraded suspension.

I greatly admire the recent Astons, but lordy they're expensive (not just to purchase, but to insure, license, etc).
My work on the trusty old 928 is twofold:
1. In 1988 I was fresh from college, and the 928 was my dream car. Always wanted one.
2. With a (slightly irrational) investment in parts, you can update a late 1980's 928 to have similar performance to some of todays rather big dogs, but no one knows you've got it, including the insurance company, and the DMV

Tom,
The FCA Pres has had his '95 GTS for a LONG TIME! May even be the first owner of the car. He keeps it in Houston at his other house. I am not sure he has EVER had it up here. I talked with him about it several years ago at the AA Car show at the San Marcos Airport. Nice guy...he is on our email list so hope he will bring the '95 out to one of our 2nd Saturday gatherings.
On Topic, the 275 GTB4 and 512bbi are STUNNING cars...I still look at TR's and think man that is a late 80's early '90's car if I ever saw one...
All the Aston's are GORGEOUS! R8 (even w/ a V10) just does nothing for me... That is why Baskin Robin's has 33 flavors!

Three Wheelin'
If money were no object and I was retired. I'd buy one of these. Send it to RS Williams to be modified and race prepped for vintage racing, and spend the next 20 years racing the car all over the US and UK.
