I get this one all the time...."You love that car more than me!" Which I find hard to believe, since I spend WAY more time with her than the 928?!?!? Of course I tell her she loves her damm expensive (Insert your choice here) Purses, jewelry, clothes...etc SO everytime I buy something for sharky....she gets a equal whatever damm purse or jewelery or whatever!!! It never ends.....buts it will all be worth it soon!!

My wife loves the car.

Hey Guys-

Just to give you a view from the other side of the street, there ain't necessarily a overabundance of guys out there equipped to deal with a car obsessed female who can rebuild a tranny or change out the gearing ratio of a posi-traction rear end better than she can cook.

Kathy, you are right about that. I met a grease monkey-et once. She built Hemi engines for dragsters. I went to their house to buy some parts and they had parts everywhere. They built great engines but i could never tell just what she looked like since she was always covered with grease. At that point i convinced myself that I liked my wife just the way she was. She won't even check the oil

You mean I could just sit on Rennlist all day talking about cars while she fixes mine? Where do I find one of them?

Aw Matt-

But dontcha get it? We want you guys to be out there working on it with us...see, under all the grease is still the typical female just dying for those stolen romantic moments shared under the belly of a car that has been on jacks for two years.

And besides, a smart female knows to never deny her man the opportunity to lose his mind over that one stupid screw that won't come out, or the wiring harness that won't snap in, or the part that doesn't fit quite right. After all, if we didn't have those insane, going-off-the-deep-end moments of complete hatred for our machines, than we would miss out on falling in love with them all over again.

It's hard to believe how Porsche's are...just get behind the wheel and all is forgiven..lol...

You are not alone - she married me anyway.

If she ever made me choose between me and my sharks (and my 944S), lets just say I would not be sharkless. Not that I feel my Porsche's are more important than her, but if after all these years she ever put me in that position, she obviousally doesn't know me all that well.

Wow. That would be an unusual ultimatum.

My wife knows that I love my car. I think that she likes that I love my car. Better a shark than another woman.

Drifter, if you choose a car over your spouse, something is wrong.

I love my wife of 14 years and would never make that choice, but then again, her and I are on the same page, so all is well.

Cars are inanimate objects that depreciate, spouses only gain value with later years.

My opinion

Kathy, I'm just taking it apart now. In two weeks I should be waiting on a lot of part orders. In four weeks I may need some help. In six weeks it better be in NC.

PS: I just noticed that the flash makes the bottom of the car look much more clean... err... less dirty.

Matt, I may just never invite you over to wrench again,

- Is that a jack pushed up against your oil pan?
- What is it holding that jack under your oil pan together?
- Nice alternative to the alternator cooling hose.
- I watched you use a hammer, put that thing away!
- I don't see CL, NH or YL in any of the pics. What's up w/that?

Michael
