I just read this thread to my wife. she wasn't impressed. I guess my laughing didn't help. she thinks we are retarded, putting $$$ into a car that's worth $. or was it the panties in the glovebox? or the stroker project and endless upgrades? or the burnouts in the driveway everytime a friend comes over that asks "hows the car running"? or the 1 time she drove it and it quit (before the upgrades and stroker)? or the attention it gets from her g-friends?

in any event, now I'm fixing dinner tonight & then she's going out w/the girls and I'd better have the house cleaned up before she returns. it's too cold to sleep in the garage this time of year in my maid's uniform and panties. if I hurry up and clean the house, I can watch speedvision in my boxers and have a beer.

At 3 play cars...my wife drew the line in the sand. It's hard, but I'm making do...so far (whimper). Trying to figure out a way to get a GT through the net. You people have given me some ideas. Thanks. Rennlist is great!

sure we are it's kinda like a shelter for battered women and we're even here for the same reason - we couldn't keep our mouths shut ha!

I suppose we could perform some kind of intervention. like show up w/our sharks (and maids clothes) and explain to her that it's a disease - but we're really good people underneath all the grease, panties and repair bills. or show up w/a bunch of women that like your pcar, and have them tell her how lucky she is... might want to have a hotel room reserved beforehand though (w/a jacauzzi tub and stocked bar, just in case it doesnt' work out, hahahaha)

but seriously here's what I did to help keep the peace: encourage her to drive whatever she wants. and as long as I don't exceed that cost/burn rate or keep asking to borrow her car cause mine's "being tuned up again", I"m beyond reproach. I also keep trying to talk her into a more expensive car, w/"you are worth it honey, and you deserve it" (already has a new jag, but if she got a 745li or S 500, etc - I'd be able to....drool) meantime, long as I don't show her rennlist stuff or come home w/more woman stuff in my car, life is good. ha! lucky she didn't find a tampon

My bride wouldn't know a wrench from a can opener.....but she does seem to like Gretch quite a bit....

When I bought the C4 in early 2000, I had brief musings about parting with 928 GT. The Boss-Lady put her foot down and said "absolutely not....no reason I shouldn't just semi-retire the shark and enjoy it for another 20 years".

She liked it when I installed the RMB, (the exhaust note, I guess??). She really gets a kick out of going for a ride now that I have installed Murph's Iron Lung and DR's Modular Stainless Cross. She told my mother the other day that she enjoys going Corvette hunting.......

Her view is that I can be spending my time tinkering with the shark, or chasing women.....she prefers the former over the latter.....
