I'll idle in neutral at lights unless I can see that I'm next to get the green. I take it easy the first couple blocks from home, putzing along in 1st and holding in the clutch if I have to wait a few seconds at either of the first couple stops. Once I'm past that point, things have warmed up/loosened up enough I can get it back into first from neutral and I'm good to go. I've checked the clutch many times, I don't think it drags. More likely there is some drag in the various bearings until the grease has moved around a bit, and this keeps the TT spinning with the clutch held in.

Dave : Have you ever had any "issues" with your flexible clutch cable , because mine has split twice, once on the bad side of town and once in the boonies, so I use neutral and the brake pedel at stop lights and take it easy on my clutch.
