Bill, Ron.s was sitting a bit strange at the rear too. Mine was only slightly misaligned, the bigger problem was it tended to move unevenly, the hinges would alternately bind and release while opening and closing. In both cases, lube then a half dozen open & close cycles solved the problem. It seemed that in our cases there was binding in the hinges that caused the rear to sit high.

I would say try this first, if you adjust then lube then the rear of the hood may sit too low.

Oh, yes, Dave - remember Beth's hood did the same thing - terrible binding, appeared to be WAY out of alignment. Lube completely fixed it.

When it comes to helping with things like the 'hood' my 'helper' has been known to called many things; mostly amoris.

By removing the shocks you dont have to fight the tendency for the back of the hood to rise. As I mentioned in my post its a feel thing with the tension on the hinge bolts; slack enough you can make adjustments, tight eonough so that it all doesn't fall apart when you raise the hood to do the final snug up.

What an easy fix! I used a little silicon spray and we are smooth as butter! Had I only known. Now back to cleaning.

There are times when I feel stupid and other times that I feel like an a$$ Lets chalk this one up to though.

Something strange going on here. All have the same problem with the hood-sits high at the rear, driver's side. Why not passenger side?

All fixes that work are the same; lube and if that doesn't fix it , adjust where the hinge attaches to the hood, not where it attaches to the body.

I went thru the same two steps above and now mine is fine.
