I have searched old posts and have hit a dead end.
Is there a diagnostic for a Lamda Computer or do you know of a place that can test or rebuild one? I have tried contacting the address and number shown on the box with no reponse so far.
I would likely convert back to orginal if I new how the wiring should be for that (couple more years and no more emissions testing for me in Texas). This unit has a wiring harness that runs to the LH harness. Actually a clean addition and not butchered.
It did work and may still work but I suspect not 100%. I passed emissions last year but my AF ratio doesn't behave like it should.
Those units (Mickey Mouse specials) just modified the air input to the LH unit
based on the O2 sensor voltage. e.g. if the O2 voltage was too high (rich),
it decreased the LH MAF sensor input.
just replace the O2 with a universal Bosch with the same number of wires: most likely a 3-wire unit ala factory. If your ignition is strong & your fuel pressure & vacuum are correct (30psi & 20" vac at idle), then you should be in good shape emission-wise.
I finally received a reply from the folks in San Diego that built the unit. They sent me the instructions for the unit. I actually figured out the wiring by the time I had the paperwork but this at least tells how to adjust it. I am attaching for others use or reference.
I didn't really trouble shoot the unit but removed it and bridged the MAF input which is what this unit intercepts.
The car still does not have consistent air/fuel readings and seems to miss at higher RPM. Removing the Lamda didn't seem to help so on to other ideas.
Will start separate post and close this one. Thanks to those that replied.
