Ya know, when I looked at the "Little Shop of Horrors" sentence you had at the beginning of this post I was picturing a two story house wall to wall with cute blonds and brunettes in scantly clad clothing waiving their finger at me telling to come their way....
Anyways SWEET MOTOR!!!! What was your assembly time for it?

I like the oil return line to the pan. Nice work.
Hey, you ARE going to put the timing belt covers on, aren't you? Hate to cover all the beautiful powder coat.

Hmmmm.. Carl took the wind out of my sails with my new Euro.. John D and Heinrich, let's pull the Euro out and clean it up... Sitting here looking at Carl's engine.. now I'm depressed... but then again.. I'd hate to take his engine to the track... tooooooo sweet to risk getting it dirty!!

No, I am not going to put my belt covers back on. I have run 4 years like this and prefer it. I enjoy being able to inpsect and check tension on my timing belt in seconds. At the race track - if I have an oil leak at front of motor - it allows me to inspect everything easily.
I am setting up this car for dual-purposes.... road racing and now also off-road racing. I'd like to do the Baja 1000 in a 928. If I do that, the timing belt covers will all be back on and sealed.
Yes, most folks absolutely should have their belt covers on their motor. For the safety of the mechanics involved, and for stones and debris.

Very nice, Carl! I hope it lives up to your expectations! Also, I for one appreciate your efforts at advancing CIS. No, it's not "new" technology. No, it's not the most precise way to fuel a car. But it's about as bulletproof as injection gets, and IMHO there's a lot to be said for that!

The 911 , 930 turbo used CIS from it's introduction in 1975 until 1994 . The car which to many typifies the high performance sports car...TURBO ; worked just fine with CIS for all those years.

Carl, your going to have to tap into the boost line to help power the inflatable
G-suit you will need...
315s on the front!!! 335s on the back!!

Are the allen head bolts holding down your spyder standard for an early euro engine?
