Default My new 91 - 928 S4 is home :)

Hey Guys,

Like "Ed Hughes" I too brought my 1991 S4 home today! 76K miles in great condition and she runs like a top

I picked her up today at noon in Sonoma, CA and drove back down to the Bay Area. By 3:00 PM Bill Ball had her on his rack giving my shark a once over. Bill gave me the thumbs up on my new 928 - A big thanks to Bill for all his help. StevenB stopped by to help as well and we had an enjoyable afternoon.

A big thanks to everyone here, I learned so much from reading all the threads

Hee Hee I should have lots of questions now

Matt

Hey, Nicole. Does this car look familiar? I thought Matt might have stolen yours! But it turns out Matt "stole" this from someone in Sonoma. He got a great deal.

We gave it the once over and noticed everything was in very good shape underneath as well as inside the car. We checked the flexplate, which probably had never been touched (original rust on the header bolts), and it moved less than 2MM. This car was babied. I showed Matt how to get 1st gear starts and row that AT, so I'm sure it won't be babied from now on.

Yes,

Matt got a great deal on realy sharp looking shark. The interior on this car is in very good shape and the grey on grey in a nice combination. Since we work together, we can now have a 928 only parking area.

Unbelievable! This is what my car used to be - or could be again, if I'd replace all the upgrades with the original stuff... Only that I don't have the original wheels anymore...

Well, it's nice to have another local joining the sharkoholics anonymous - welcome Matt!!!

You guys missed a great fun drive today - not a drop of rain...

Yeah, the weather held off until the late afternoon. No way to know that until maybe the night before when it looked like it was going to be coming in later that forecast. I needed the time to do some things here. Glad the ride was fun. Try again for later in the month.

Matt's car is is superb condition. Bought from the original owner. Just needs a good cleaning. No mechanical issues at all other than he needs a drive door stay.

Congratulations on your new 928! Welcome to Norcal928!! It sure looks like a mirror of Nicoles too (a compliment)! To fix the drivers door....try the jager kit from Nicole....I did & it works great! Door stays open even on steep inclines!

Odd that it didn't rain in the bay on sunday...but it rained off and on all day in Stockton starting at about 9:30am? You guys got lucky!

Good Job! Congrats on the new purchase. That's pretty scary that you and Steve work together. I can see it now... the 2 of you out in the parking lot during lunch working on a TB/WP. Scary!

Enjoy.

Or he could add the Jager titanium door stay ehnhancers without going throught he whole door panel disassembly. I sell a lot of those, and have gotten very positive feedback on them.

I've placed my first orders too-an interior temp sensor cover plate, and I just ordered one of the door stop enhance kits. That, and an oil change, will do it for now.

Not to be a kill-joy, but it would be nice, edco, if you'd indulge us with some higher quality pix! The camera phone gets the job done, but once you get that shark polished up, be sure to show it off with some glamour shots, ok!! Beautiful color combo, and very cool wheels. Welcome!

HeeHee will do, so far nothing but rain since I picked her up. I plan on taking advantage of the Rennlist personal web page. So that’s a deal on the glamour shots!

Thanks for the nice welcome...

There are some great detailing tips in the concours forum too! A good polishing and a coat of Rejex will make it look its best!

That shot of the front is great. What color grey is this? Very nice.
