12.6 @ 116mph 928 Turbosport 1/4 run....ruined!
Ruined by excessive wheel spin due to increased boost/torque.
My first run was a 12.8 @ 111 @ 5psi.
I then turned the boost up to 7psi, & launched at the same RPM, killing my 60' with excessive wheelspin alllllllll the way through 1st gear (hard on a drag strip in a 928 with 2.20 rear end).
The resulting run turned out to be a 12.96 @ 114.4 with nearly a 2.2 60' time: would have been worse without the extra boost to make the power to make up the extra tenths at the end. Still, happy enough: clutch held, Air-fuel was a bit rich, but to drive 110 miles to run, run a few 12's in a 105,000 mile car (7k on turbo system), & return home with great gas mileage, I'm happy enough.
the PCA Dyno day is saturday: I plan to run 5.8psi, & 7psi on the dyno, maybe 8 or 9 with timing pulled a little. Wish me luck!
I have my run on video run on Quicktime Movie format: can someone host this? Does anyone do any simple editing (remove 2 seconds from the front & end of the video to shorten, & to put some simple text. Thanks!

Oh! The coolest part of the evening was the Boostlogic Supra. Did a dial-in run: no NOS, jsut a soft launch (nearly 4 second 60' time), still ran a 10.9 @ 160 @ 45psi boost.
Then, did a 1.29 60' launch on NOS+45psi, but let up due to excessive fuel on top:

Nice! At 114mph, you certainly have the speed to get at least a 12.5sec and long as you can keep the wheel spin to minimum. I have a feeling that this year will be an interesting one for the boosted 928s. Almost as if the horsepower wars have finally came into the 928 forum.
No offence Carl, but to get into the 11s it will take more than a good launch and lower tire pressure. Mark will need a lot more HP to break into the 11s. My guesstimation would be at least 12 psi, maybe more and some WIIIIIDE rubbers.
Stock or near stock tire widths would probably max the 928 out at around 12.4 -12.5sec. Anything lower than that would require some slicks, stronger drive shafts, trans, clutch…etc!

I think I have to side with Carl on this one! I'll run my wife's Fikse's with 285/30's next time @ about 8-9psi: I bet I can click off an 11.9 @ about 120 or so. Course, my clutch WILL have to be in by then.

Nice run!
And at such a relative low boost level. Shows you the power loss the belt drivens have!
Many of us are running in the 8-10psi range now...turn it up!
You have low 12s easily in the car. Those extra last few 1/10ths are hard to come by though.

Mark:
I can edit and host the video. If it is less than 10MB file size, send it to billball@gmail.com
I can make a little animated gif for your sig, if it looks good - see Tony and my sigs.

Thanks Tony, Not sure I can get much further than mid 12's on my tire & a bit of practice. I'll run wide & boosted my next pass: post-clutch.

I'll see if I can get that vid. Kean said in actuality, it was a 2.2, but you'll see how the video stretches that out (mind control man!)

It would probably run an 11 flat or high 10 with 12psi of boost(with an efficient system).
