Default Strosek parts finally here!

Finally after 5 weeks (they told me two) my Strosek parts have finally arrived. They are the most difficult people to work with that I have ever seen. They made promise after promise. One day they said the owner was too sick to work. The next day they said multiple people at their supplier were sick. No lie! But whatever. All's well that ends well. Quality is better than any glass body parts I 've ever seen out of the box. The GTS quarters are almost completely on as well as the rear bumper. (I did it Jim!) As soon as I can figure out how to shrink all the photos I'll post 'em. Thanks to Hans for the contacts & Rixter for his help.

6.0,

Looks very sweet!

Do you know the price for the rocker panels, or was their price included in your package?

Man you are going to have some fun there!

Cheers,
Michael

Oh BTW,

6.0 could you post a pic of the "inside top" of the front cover?

I would love to see how Strosek mates the front cover to the front of the car. Some of the FG front covers I have seen have a distracting "Wave" in the body line between the top of the front cover and the start of the engine hood. Porsche uses a metal bar with 2 studs on each side, is this bar still required with your cool new appendage?

Thanks man,
Michael

Thanks Mike,
I'll get you the pic as soon as I can.
The prices were: (they gave me 35% off list)
Front cover, $1182.75
Rocker covers, $927.34
The rocker prices included the standard lower S4 door mouldings which they included from a used S4! They didn't even wash them off! It was hilarious!
Freight was $333.00. Some of that must have been a crating fee because I got the invoice from U.S. Airways which showed that they charged Strosek $240.00. Then U.S. Airways charged me $20.00 at pickup for the paperwork & U.S. Customs charged me $61.00 duty. It's a good thing insurance was paying a large part of this tab!

Brendan,
It was lighter than the original. The entire shipping weight was 20 kilos, including the wooden pallet. All the guys at U.S. Customs wanted to see "The Porsche Racing parts" so we opened the box to give them a thrill.

It covers the same area that the S4 lower spoiler covers.

That can be okay. It does interfere with very few tasks.
