I wasn't going to say it but since Sean brought it up I thought the rims on Ryan's car looked like wagon wheels.
I thought it was just me.

Odd so many guys are all about "997" wheels. They are just Porsche wheels, not sure why that guy is so caught up on wheels from 997's on 928's. 987's use the same wheel patterns, they arent exclusive to any 997 or any porsche for that matter.
you have a e36 conv with 16" wheels pictured in your avatar, and have a pair of trans am's. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on whats good taste and what's not.

Ryan, those wheels look much better than those that they replaced IMO.
So are they Porsche aftermarkets? I'm not sure that I've seen these on Porsches.
Anyway, I like the look. Alot.

Ryan I wasn't saying I didn't like them that's just what they reminded me of. You know up here I see wagon wheels all the time. I must have it on the brain. As far as the BMW I just bought it will stay stock I like it that way. Now the shark is open for discussion.

Who doesn't like wagon wheels? Hell, I thought everyone did. Except Shark Attack, hell he started his own thread about his dislike of them.

Are you talking about my ex GT with the lobster claw wheels? Cause that car used to be my avatar.
But yes, the wheels that were on the car up until yesterday were atrocious turbo twist 18" wheels that were chrome. (If anyone wants them, they are factory rears, replica fronts 18 x 8 fronts ET 50 18 x 11 rears ET 45 with 235 40 18 front and 285 35 18 rears. $850)
The wheels on the car now are called "Carrera Sport" wheels. (Not to be confused with Carrera Sport Design wheels, of which i also have a set and am selling factory originals) They are a $3500 option on all 987 and 997 models. Check out porsche.com. They are one of the more rare 997 wheels but i can say without doubt they are my favorite.
I do like the NEW 997.5 Carrera S II wheels thats are now out. This is on the new DFI 3.8L 997 S car's the ones with the LED tail lamps and such. The Carrera S II's are pretty cool, like a 5 spoke star, with the centers of the stars being hollowed.

i would refer to those as 997 Turbo wheels, not simply 997 wheels.
gotcha
I personally dont like the current 997 turbo wheels. I much prefer the GT2/3 wheels, but i think its time they update those too, those have been the same for like 4-5 years now.
