Default Factory medical kit

How rare is the factory med kit ? Today me and Andrew went to look at a 85 euro 5-speed and in the car was an unopened factory med kit complete ! How rare are these and any ideas to its value ? Sorry no pics.

Every car in Germany must have one, plus a warning triangle. Otherwise it would not pass vehicle inspection.

Euro deliveries of US cars had at least the warning triangle - don't know about the first aid kit. But since every car in Germany has one, these kits are not that rare - maybe here in the US, but not absolutely rare.

FYI the first aid kits with bandages more than 10 years old should never be used. Medical grade sterilized cotton starts to break down after 10 years and could cause more harm than good.

I've been keeping an eye peeled for the original first aid kit for ages. Not because of what may be inside, but because it supposedly is a perfect fit in the rear glovebox.

I bought one on eBay from Devek about 1 1/2 years ago. Brand new and unopened. I know my car didn't come with one but who knows, I may have a Euro someday....

I does fit perfectly in the rear glove box. Pretty cool. BTW, the car we looked at is on ebay. 85 Euro 5-speed. Nothing special (except the med-kit). I'd pay $3,500 tops. Not a strong runner.

Dave,

The OB's had a carpet cover and snap at the passenger kick panel to conceal the kit. I have pictures of the install but Rennlist doesn't appear to want my attachments.
