Sure, just leave me a note about shipping when you pay your deposit, so that I put the info in my build list.

 

Five days! Five days straight making individual parts, and only one bar done.

Tommorrow is the big weld day.

What's really a bummer is when you make the parts wrong! I spent half a day cutting, grinding, welding, and realised that I had forgotten a change I was supposed to make.

I spent most of the day making the final components: the assembly forms. Should be easy now.

Top - parts bins, Right - forms, Middle - cut bars


The orange lines are to line up with the fender seam, to make it easier to get into the proper position.

 

Can't wait!

 

Just for yucks, I ran my 'final' design past a structural engineer*.

He says I need a bit more strenthening with this pipe size**, so I am going to work with him this weekend, and add some side or top plates.

Joe, Tom, and Tom - yes, I will update or replace yours.

I added a piece of 2" channel on the bottom of the bars*. The bar deflects <1/4" when jacking my car.

Structural guy said the numbers were good now**.
