Default A few new products for your 928

Over the weekend, I added a few new products to my store. Hope you like them!

1. Engine Lettering

Now you can highlight the "PORSCHE" and "32V" on your Intake, as well as the sunken "PORSCHE" on the valve covers of your S4, GT, or GTS.

I have kits available in all black, synthetic chrome (for those who powdercoated their intake and covers in red or black), or a combo of red "PORSCHE" and black "32V"

You can either order the full set, just the lettering for the intake, or just the lettering for the valve covers.

Click here for more information on Engine Lettering

2. Console Support Bracket Reinforcements

The plastic brackets that hold the center console in place often break. This is a simple and inexpensive, CAD-designed solution to fix broken brackets, or prevent the existing ones from failing.

Click here for more information on Console Support Bracket Reinforcements

3. Stainless Steel Y-Connectors

If you are getting gasoline smell inside of your car, the plastic Y connector in the passenger side wheel well might be broken - it happens frequently. You can replace it with another plastic one and wait for it to break again, or put a permanent solution in place: The stainless steel Y connector.

Click here for more information on Stainless Steel Y-Connectors

4. Windshield Trim Kit

The trim kit for faded rear quarter trim has been quite popular, so why not offer the same for the windshield trim - which is subject to not only the sun but also road debris. With this new kit you can make your windshield trim look like new, or protect your existing trim from getting "sandblasted" from debris. An easy solutionm, takes about 10 minutes to install.

Click here for more information on the Windshield Trim Kit

5. Door sill and rear bumper lettering in Synthetic Chrome

An alternative to the popular silver lettering. While the silver has an aluminum tone with avery fine brushed structure, the chrome is glossy, warmer, and a bit darker.

I'd suggest the warmer looking chrome for very dark and warm colored cars (e.g. black, dark brown or slate grey), while the cooler tone of the silver looks great on pretty much anything from silver to dark blue or black.

Click here for more information on lettering options

6. The new Porsche 928 Book - see separate Announcement

Thanks, everyone, for looking!

I like the engine lettering. I have had my stuff all black crinkle powdercoated for the understated look, and have a few things that are polished aluminum or chrome. The chrome lettering or the AL look may work well to bring out the contrast.

I have an extra number "2" here in red - if you need a kit that says 928S2, I could make you one in red, if that helps... Other colors I could custom order for you.

I think the chrome will look spectacular on a dark powdercoated engine - that's why I special ordered it. I think this would also look good on red, like on Schocki's engine.

For silver powdercoat, I think the red/black, or the all black will look best.

Hi Nicole

Thanks for prompt answer....I would love a set but...

I think Euro S2 s are different to S4 s..

Let me explain....

I would like both Porsche raised lettering to sit in the rear stamping and the 928 S2 for under it...

On mine..it looks like this....

Edge of tail light <4 1/4 inches>P O R S C H E<4 1/4 inches>Edge of tail light
928 S2 (UNDER PORSCHE from R to H)

Looking at your pictures....I dont think your lettering goes to 4 1/4 inches from rear lights each side (looks more like 2 inches) ???

The top line (PORSCHE) is sunk into stamping on body .......the 928 S2 is in stickered lettering underneath...(ALL black lettering apart from the 2 which is white (or was lol..bit gray now)

All the best Brett

I got all excited about the engine lettering.... then realized it was '87 on up only. Anything on the burner for the 85/86 crowd <hopefully>?

Did you see that there are two different types of PORSCHE lettering - one for the S4 and later models, and the other for the early models? I just haven't been able to get a photo of the letters on an eariler car...

The 928 S2 does not go into a sunken area; therefore it should work on any model bumper cover.

I'm not sure, but the valve covers on the 85/86 might be the same as S4 and later. Does anybody know?

Thank you! I'm sure you will like them! The black should bring out the polished material very nicely!

Hi Nicole

I think you will need to measure from the edge of the sunken lettering to the rear light on the earlier cars to see if its correct (4 1/4 INCHES)

I realise the 928S2 goes under the PORSCHE and NOT into the sunken area but I would need both lots of lettering to match so it didnt look strange

My car is IRIS BLUE metallic (the early light blue almost silver colour) what colours would you do IF you can get the lettering ???

Dark or royal blue maybe ??

If I understand correctly, you want the 928 S2 in the same size as the PORSCHE. We don't have that right now, and I'm worried it would be too big. However we could custom make it for you.

Again, there is PORSCHE lettering listed in my store that is specifically sized for the rear bumper cover of the 78-86 models. The pictures in my store are the same as for the S4, because I have no picture of the larger letters on the earlier model. As soon as I get a such picture from a customer, I will update my web store.

As to the color - I personally would go with silver for a subtle look. But if you want bold, you can do black, or blue, or even carbon weave. I think the blue might be a little on the bright side, though. But if you don't like the color, you can always paint the letters in any color you want.

The console reinforcements are great!! That is a problem area and I will be ordering those for sure, as well as the evap "y" conector.

I do believe that all 32V valve covers are the same, so the lettering will work on the 85-86.

Thanks Nicole!

How do the engine letters hold up to the engine bay heat and for longevity overall?

I bought one of the door lock kits and it's only lasted a couple of years, but it's cheap and I don't mind re-doing it every once in a while, but the engine letters are not cheap and I would hope are long-lasting.
