The dealer is just going by KBB. He has no idea what the car is. I have a buddy that lives about 6 miles from there if anyone wants a simple pre-buy. He won't be able to do a detailed inspect, but is pretty knowldgeable.

Hey Opus, if I was looking for a GT, I would be all over that one. I am pretty sure this is not going to make it past Monday and one of the dealers is going to grab it and re-list for 30k...

Sounds like the consensus is I should scoop up this car. Should I worry about a PPI?

Hey Doc, can you go ahead and ask your buddy to do a quick pre-buy inspection for me? Thanks.

That's one of the more complete/original GT's that I've seen on eBay. It looks really nice. This guy seems to deal in high-end classics (look at the bottom of the page) and appears to have a 100% feedback on 81 transactions that seem to be mostly cars. That's scarce these days.
Hopefully somebody here (Opus?) grabs it if it's as nice as it looks. If it is as nice as it looks, and all maint. has been done (t-belt, etc), it's at least $5k underpriced, IMO.
My car needs a fairer twin, come to think of it.

I just got back from looking at this GT. It's much rougher in person than the pictures show. I see someone used the buy it now so be fully aware of a few things. There are some scratched on top of the front bumber like it went under something. Right foglight broken, small swirl gouges in the paint on the top of the rt front fender. Small door ding in the pass door and another one, more distinct just behind the pass door. Rear spoiler looks like it came out of the molding, two screw holes in sides of spoiler near the top and it looks like it's been glued back down. Small crease from the left rear marker to the wheel well openning. Crease and dent just behind the left door, crease and touch up paint under molding mid driver door. All and all the paint is in nice shape, just needs attention. Wiper cap missing, roof antenna has no rubber on the bottom showing the spring. Missing under tray and the front tray protecting the oil cooler is all mangled. Dash pod has one crack all the way front to back. Seats look in good shape but I think they've been crack filled and dyed - leather is very hard and dry and cracking just starting again. No bolster wear at all on driver side. Aftermarket stereo with very pour speaker installation especially in the big rear speakers. Center console arm rest is cracked and broken on top, can't tell looking at it until you rest your arm on it. Window tint is in bad shape with major streaks in the door windows and starting to turn a bit purple. Car came from San Antonio, owned by a Dr who I suspect parked the car outside during the day. Engine looks bad, sticker on fan shroud is from A1 Collison Center dated 2/05 but can't read what it sayes and I didn't see signs of body damage. Leaking power steering fluid. Most of the paint is off the intake and the cam covers look pretty bad. Non standard bolts on the fuel rail covers. Engine looks dirty, blue spark plug wires. Records shows TB/WP was changed at 38k in January '98. Rebuild tensioner at 56k because of fault but didn't do the timing belt. Engine doesn't look like it' been touched in a long time. Leaking oil. Most of the wheels have a little curb rash, not bad but the lips have been curbed. Tires in great shape. Never started or drove the car. MAF changed at 60k in 6/04 for $1350, LH changed at 50k in 7/02 for $3000. My take is this was owned by a doctor who had it fixed when it didn't run but it never got any TLC. Probably lots of defered and neglected maintenance. Not quite the cream puff it looks like in the pictures. Sorry...
