Careful brendan. Rememer, when you turn the wheel, you are essentially defeating ALL the parameters. Biggest issue is at full lock AND full compression, it is very very narrow the hole that's left for the tyre to not rip your fender to shreds from the inside. I have 235/19's and I tell ya, it is very very close. Under full compression she absolutely will eat the fender.

I would be happy with 245s on the front.

I thought Richard (blau) is running a very wide tire up front--like a 285? There's another thread going where he mentions this. And I think Derek 86.5 who bought a set of wheels from Kibort runs very wide tires all the way around.

Brendan,

If this is the same car I reviewed for you in CT many months ago, I feel the need to point out that you are a very sick individual

Nice work

It is Stan. I still have the pics of the red painted car sitting there being stripped. It lasted abouit 2 months though - and then the blowby got too bad and pushed out a main seal.

Its actually like the 10th or 12th 78 made as I see it. vin ending in 522. Oh, and stan - it was in 2004 that you saw this car. June, 2004. Not months - years.

Don't look at me man. This car was almost in the dipper to be totally stripped. This is "half assed" as I only went down to bare metal on the outer body. THe underbody still is dirty, but a good steam clean should work. I still want to do that dipping maybe on another car and see how it goes. One more old boy in LA does it - dead or dieing breed.

Is connecticutt dusty? Are there dust cloud roaming the suburbs? Because I couldn't believe what I found in this car, and in the HVAC unit itself, all up in the fender joints.

Oh - one last thing - 3 layers (with primer between) of silver and one last bad primer coat and the peeling red you saw. All of that came off to bare metal. Different doors though. Different hatch, but original fenders, body, and hood.

The 89 will be a piece of cake after this car.

I ran 245/40/18s on my fronts with some offset I can't remember, but they rubbed badly on a turn, and so bad that I had to turn slowly... I think a 245/35/ would have been ok, but I just cant imagine how my setup rubbing on 245/40s, and 285/xx NOT rubbing... Is this an offset issue? Also, my 275/40/18s in the rear fit pretty close to the outer edge (285s would be all I can stuff in there), and it looks like I dont have a lot of room on the inside either. In fact, I had my fenders rolled out to fit those even... The rears are hollow spoke twists from a 993 widebody. Fronts are hollow spokes too.

On another note... I think some black chrome wheels would look killer on my red 951, or a 928 for that matter. For my S4, I'm going to have the spokes of the turbo twists color matched to the marine blue of the car
