Still mystifying to me. If I were going to run an eBay scam "928 intake manifold" would not be my first choice. And he's pushing several 928 parts without a clue about the cars. Weird and a half. Most decent eBay scammers focus on high end TVs and laptops. Just copy someone else's ad, hijack an account with high feedback, agree to ship with only 1/2 paid in advance (Western Union only), the rest COD, and watch the cash flow in!

Too bad eBay IDs have no value unlike some URLs.

It is very curious. Maybe the guy is just totally clueless. Maybe the manifold has been powdercoated. Check out this reply to a question on the listing:

Q: I am very interested in this manifold. Can you tell me more about the car it came from, and what other 928 parts you have for sale? Also, do you have more pictures of this item? Thanks Hans

A: Sure, the picture is not the actual one, I just plainly didn't have the time to do all that, so I got this pic from the internet which best looked likt the manifold's. They are the same size as the pic and they seem to have different size (some longer then the other) runners going to the engine on both sides. I really am not a porshe expert so may be you can help me with it. I am also selling the rear lights, I have the full size spare tire ( the one with circles in it, the struts the rotors, the center console, the shifter, the speaker set up-all 6, the door stills with the 928 in the middle and clear plastic, and I still have to look at the exhaust but it is double barral so I'm hoping to see a borla. The exterior is all there and in good condition-(bumper, hood, fenders, lighghs, ect). Sorry, it was a 1996 928 porche #4. I will take a better look tuesday the 31st then I will be able to answer everything.

Must've bought an auction car, or there's a mismarked '86 in a U-Pull yard in Fresno!

OK, he's selling some 928 parts, but he's not selling that carbon fiber intake in the picture but one that looks sorta like it...like an 86 intake maybe?? He may not be dishonest, but his auction is completely stoopid. He needs to cancel all the auctions, take some pictures of what he really has and start over. And he has to get it through his skull that it is not a 96 928.

Very interesting Wade.....seems I got quite a different response.

Bear in mind, I did happen to point out the inaccuracies of the auctions...

I am sure you all can imagine how bad I felt when I received this response..

You people just don't understand. He has '96 928 parts, obviously he knows what he's talking about.

OK, I'll go next.

These look like the correct lights for my 1978 Porsche 928, but the auction says the lights are for a 1996 car. Which is correct, the picture or the description?

I'll let y'all know where it goes from here.

Oh, Keith:

Too bad he's going to block you! Maybe if you apologize nicely you can get back in on these sweet deals and upgrade your GTS to 1996 specs!

I sent him a nice little note too. Hope I get a juicy reply like you did.

Anyone have the specs for the '96? Might be time to upgrade.

Why don't you guys bid on the Grill Guard, fits anything - I quote;

HTML Code:
This grille guard extends approximately as high as grille
and as wide as vehicle to completely protect front end
—grille, headlights and bumpers
!
