On a serious note, what exactly is the deal on this 928 manifold? (I know the auction in question is a scam, and the manifold is actually one of 928 Developments carbon fiber manifolds) Is it two divorced manifolds each with their own throttle body or do they tie together somewhere I am not seeing? Any flow numbers available? On their website they talk briefly about racing experience with the unit, anyone here seen it, driven it, know much about it??

I want one. Phil was going to do some testing with my car, but no time!! so, i tried a quick adaptation to dual throttle bodies fed to the side panels, and we saw only about 3-5hp gain. it was kind of hodge podge set up for a quick day at the mustang dyno with Tom. i think the concept is good, just implementation is kind of difficult for unknown gains. on the 6.5 liter, that 50-70hp is pretty distinct. (with the dual plennum type CF intake)

Mark Anderson must have the most experience with it. Joe fan has it installed as well. They are different from what Phil and the eBay guy show (see pic of Mark's setup). The intake tubes look more refined. In fact, when I saw Phil's early prototype it already had the intake tubes with the throttle bodies moved forward, as shown below. My recollection is it added about 60HP.

Mark:

Tom Cloutier experimented with the dual throttle body mod to my 89 manifold when it was stock, and we saw 10HP peak gain, but in the mid-range RPMs the increase was 20+ HP.

This is a seller with zero feedback and s/he has the part classified as "Tailgates & Liftgates". S/He's clueless about more than 928s. You'd have to be crazy to bid on this!

I do realize much of this depends on the combination that makes up the whole engine, but what RPM range does this manifold perform in? Are they building these manifolds to pre set dimensions or can they be ordered with different runner lengths for individual applications and tuning preferences?

I bet he did a google image search for '928 intake manifold'. The first hits are from the 928dev site.
