Default DIY 928 supercharger page

This tread is a slightly on the OT side but I will ask anyways. I’m trying to build a web page and have all the 928 supercharger build pictures with instruction on it. I would like to do this so anyone that wants to build their own system can use my as an example or they can even copy it if they want to. I’m looking for a free server that has a fair size capacity to hold all the pictures (~30 pics) and the band width so it doesn’t get shut down like Yahoo’s Geocities (15MB). I’m new to this so any suggestion would help. I think my pictures should be reduced to eliminate going over the hourly limit every time someone wants to look at the page. The pics were uploaded at full size (almost 1Meg each). Here is the test site, but as soon as one person looks at it, it will shut down for an hour.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

Ask Stan Shaw he may be interested in hosting it on the 928OC website.

Became Rennlist member and you get 200MB free web space. 1MB for each picture is too much. It is possible to show more than enough with 300K when one does correct compression to them.

Bill,

Thanks for the offer; I will contact you as soon as the page is ready.

The problem is that I have no experience in building and designing a web page. I had no problem setting up the test page, but it had a “web page build wizard” that I used. Without one I wouldn’t know how to build a page. If I could find a good shareware software that has these options then it would be a little easier for me to build a simple webpage. I could use suggestions on where and what software to use for this.

I'm not up on shareware Webpage builders. I saw the page you did. I should have saved a copy of that, as it is unavailable now. The layout looked OK. Let me put up what you have after the page becomes available again and we can revise it.

Bill,

Thanks you for all the help. I will send the additional pictures as soon as possible. Since the test page was for, test I didn't bother checking for spelling errors. There are a couple that I will later correct.

Tony,

Thanks for the tip. I'll see if Downloads.com has that one or any other free web page building software. The Yahoo Geocities wizard made the test page build very easy too. The problem was that I almost maxed out most my given space (15Meg) before I even started.

I caught them, I believe. Since you're Canadian, I let the aluminium go, even though that is not good American English!
