Default Twin Turbo Lexus engine pics in 928 Finally!

After promising these pics many moons ago, here they are, the cars is an 1982 model with a Gembala kit, not personal taste but we're all different. Certainly this car is different. Actually for a body kitted car I don't mind the front styling.

Enjoy Greg

Now that's an interesting beast... Any performance related info? Weight, boost, times, etc?

That looks like the 1UF 4.0L 32V V8? If so amazing engines...they are becoming the industry on many 10second and lower quarter mile cars. Great engines and beautiful fabrication on your 928....love it. Many many kudos...what engine management and turbos are you running?

I bet you will easily lay down 600 at the wheels.

I have done some neat Toyota engine conversions in the past...the best one being over 300whp from a 4AG Turbo (1.6L!!).

That's a chit load of work! I bet it's quite a screamer. Not my cup of tea, but admire the effort!

Here is an interesting read on this topic:

bump. i.e., ditto the question. If it's not yours, can you get the owner to talk? Or a link to the magazine article it's worthy of?

I seriously doubt that there's so much more to offer in the toyota motor that couldn't be done in the 928 motor. Toyota internals are quite dainty by comparison. Apples to apples, the same TT on a 928 motor would probably make more powe: more displacement, higher-flowing heads & intake, etc. Seriously doubt the 'yota has forged pistons, so should be an accurate enough hypothetical to consider with the same boost/engine management maps.

Plus, figure a few extra thousand on any conversion outside the 928/Porsche.

I think that is the most courageous conversion i have seen.
I mean, where does one even begin...??
Hmmmm, ya know, i think this will fit...then the commitment to parts machining, hoping that it works in the end.
I would love to see some numbers on it.
my money says a true porsche powered TT S4 will put down over 400rwhp with little effort .
