Jageng GTRSS Shift Kit
Guys & Dolls,
Has anyone used this kit? Any idea how it compares to the parralel kickdown switch mod that many of us are using?

Thanks,
Pete Whelan

HI
I think you will find that the Jaeger is a once only kickdown,,,i.e ...PRESS ONCE = KICKDOWN ONCE..
I do not have one as I have my own fighter pilot type kickdown switch (like Tom Cruise in TOP GUN for his missiles ) which is wired in series to the under pedal switch...SO WITH MINE....I flick back the red cover ..then flick the switch to on...which illuminates a blue LED then slight throttle pressure kicks the autobox down.....then when I am finished with it..I flick the red cover closed which also closes the switch
Hope this helps Brett

I made a thread awhile ago asking about it, there doesnt seem to be any extensive reviews on this product, although I would like to know if it works on ANY shifter.
When you depress the button im assuming you down shift, but the description also says you can delay upshifts... do you continue hold the button until you want to shift?

My, how time flies! No, it's still in the bag. It's not real high on my priority list, as I'm not unhappy with the way the car downshifts normally. Strange I would buy the kit under that circumstance, but that's me. I wanted to do it to see why Paul, whom I really admire, would engineer such an elaborate kit when others just wire a simple button into the kickdown. Sorry, maybe late in July after the first open road race.
