Thanks for organising this Nicole!
You must be going to all the wrong places then...

And yes, thanks Nicole!

So there will be a few open road racers attending as well:

Looks like we're going to fill both sessions easily.

Thanks for getting this together Nicole and everyone else!

sounds like it will be a great time. how are we working the sessions. are we all on track together with the karters, or are we going to get split up?

see you there at 7pm.

It will be interesting to watch the experienced "real car" racers against the "secret" go kart racer (hint look for the colorful Go kart helmet)....as for me....I'd be pleased with a mid pack finish...I just don't want to get lapped too many times by the big guns!

Hi Mark: They allow a maximum of 10 carts on the track at the same time, and we have 2 sessions booked. I'd say let's see who gets there first, and get the first ten people in for the first session, while the others can watch and study.

Then, in the second session you'll have all those who have had time to watch, plus a few who have already run the first session. I'd expect that second session to be a lilttle more competitive, which means it would probably be more up your alley.

Maybe we can have you run against Dennis and Anders in the second session? By then, Anders will be just warmed-up enough to make you look slow.... just kidding!!!

See you there!

I'll go with just one session if there are enough others to fill two sessions. I see George S has chimed in on the ORR board. Tim Jones is a serious racer too. The stakes have gone up.

I visited the Premier Pizza and Pizza Depot facilities today. The new Premier Pizza place is rather small, so I'm not convinced it will work. Pizza Depot, however, has a lot of space, and the pizzas are not baked in pans. They have a rotating oven, where the pizza sits directly on rotating surfaces - it kind of looks like a large rotating hard disk...

So I decided to make a reservation at Pizza Depot for 9:00PM. They suggested to call-in our order before we leave the karting place. This way we won't have to wait when we get there - after all, it'll be a pretty late dinner anyway.

Their website is www.pizzadepot.org

Hi Ron:

Yes, I have planned for you - see the earlier post on who confirmed. But I was not sure, if you wanted to run one or both sessions. Let me know, please!

This was posted by some nut on the Off Topic Forums re: peak oil concerns:

"I went to the Shell Service station the other day and asked for five dollars worth of gas.

The clerk farted and gave me a receipt."

(well, I thought it was funny.....and if I laugh I'l crack my face).

I guess I'll do two sessions if you have room, or just one if not. One is OK though.

Update: The famous Swedish race car driver has arrived, and we hope his bags will follow before he leaves. We are very excited about Friday evening and hope to see everyone who signed up.
