Hi everybody,
We at innovate are getting more and more calls from customers wanting to use our widebands to save gas. Just a few days ago a customer called that bought one after reading a magazine article. Though the only thing he knew about his car was that it has 6 wheels (spare and steering wheel included), but nevertheless wanted to use the wideband to lower his fuel consumption, and called to find out how.
This inspired me to come up with a new invention. As this invention does not fit into the current product lineup of innovate, I am offering it here for any forum member who wants to make a fortune in the automotive aftermarket. Licensing under the Gnu free public license (ask your nearest geek, he'll know). Different than other fuel saving devices offered (like fuel-line magnets, e-superchargers and so on), this device is 100% guaranteed to save between 5% and 50% of fuel (results vary with driving style), can be installed by any car owner in minutes, and does not affect drivetrain warranties.
I am calling it the 'Organic Thermodynamic Force Modulator, pat. pend.'.
Design/application description
With the engine off, depress the gas pedal by hand to it's full WOT position. Measure the distance between the back side of the pedal and the firewall or floorboard. Add 1" (25.4mm) to that measurement. Fabricate a piece of wood of that thickness (distance + 1") and securely fasten it to the firewall or floorboard behind the gas-pedal. Organically grown wood is used because it is a renewable resource.
Theory of operation
The increased angle of the throttle plate at full power forced by the device causes a vortex behind the trottle plate. This vortex causes the engine to use less of the precious air we all breathe. The EFI system, in it's attempt to maintain the same air-fuel-ratio, injects correspondingly less fuel. Different to other vortex generators mounted in the intake path, it reuses the vortex generating facilities already put into the car by the manufacturer. Other vortex generators (Turbolator et. al.) create a vortex where the axis is parallel to the intake path. This can throw the fuel droplets to the intake walls, where they stick and are not available for consumption. The device described here creates a vortex at 90 degrees to the intake path so that the fuel droplets will not stick. In some cases the device even allows to use a lower grade fuel for further savings. In addition the device dramatically lowers the danger of engine knock.
Marketing plan
This product can be sold on late night cable TV or ebay easily for $29.95 (+$6.95 S/H).
From a marketing standpoint one could offer a turbo version (made of teak or mahagony) and a n/a version (made of plywood).
The pro version (sold for 3 easy payments of $19.95) can even have an appropriately located microswitch that allows datalogging.
Regards,
Klaus

Tom here is your golden opportunity to save BOOCOO BUCKS in gas. just use a dremel and cut little vortices into them. VOILA! The new finer electrodes will collect the unburnt gasoline already present in the air from all that smog from gas guzzling SUV's and burn it efficiently. You never have to fill up this way.

Ok guys...
I've been trying to keep this one under wraps until the timing was right, and I think this is as good of time as any. Quantities are limited, so call today!

Ok... I thought I could have some fun with this post... but this troll isn't worth it and needs to be taken out. I already put him on my ignore list, but even his thread titles are a load of crap! Go play on RoadFly!

Something here tells me that we ALL have too much time on our hands now that winter has set in here in the Northern Hemisphere. This is positively the LAST time I will post in this thread! So there.
