John / Dave,
Would the system be able to accomodate a 10psi supercharged 89 engine? I would like to do away with the RRFPR I am running and rely on the map for tuning.

It's called microcode disassembly which is a copyright vioation as is the selling
of Porsche's microcode via chips.

Hi Dave,
Many thanks for putting the SharkTuner info on your website !
Hi Ernest,
Our intention is that the function of the knock sensors will not be changed from what they do now. As for "tuning" the knock sensors to account for engine changes such as strokers, we first have to make some investigation of the knock system hardware and software....
Hi Brendan,
Yes, my car is an 86 Euro. I'm looking with interest at Dave's upcoming s/c kit for this :-)
Hi Old & New,
With 10psi (intercooled I asume ?) You will have to raise the fuel pressure at higher powers, otherwise your injectrors will be on 100% and the mixture will go weak.
With 42lb injectors and stock S4 fuel pressure the theoretical power output is about 500BHP crank at S4 fuel pressure. So you will need to increase the pressure at the high end. Doubling the pressure gives a theoretical 690BHP crank figure (approx).
You will also need the SuperMAF to enable accurate mapping of fuelling.
Regards

John,
After autotuning using the WB can you add/subract to/from lamda at different rpm points? If so this would make tuning my 85 32v (when you get a round tuit) easier with your software.

John,
As much as makes maximum power at WOT
along with changing timing. Does this only work in closed loop? If so, are you working on a way to improve the WOT settings? This is why I use the piggy back.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,
You can change the WOT A/F to what you want.
The O2 loop is disabled at WOT
Idle /cruise mapping and WOT mapping are independantly variable.
Hi JV,
I've PM'd Scott on this matter...

hey john im trying to figure out how tuning is prioritised in terms of fuel/air vs spark. with this tool it seems you can optimise the fuel/air ratio but what happens when you ajust the EZK values later? do you then need to retune the LH? who in the uk can i go to for tuning with this set up along with a dyno?

This is the greatest idea since sliced bread. Think about it- those of you living in areas with exhaust testing can now run your car the way you wish, and simply reprogram your chip before you go to the testing station. And it will save gas- you can run real lean most of the time yet still have perfect power at WOT.
John- Please build a system for the S2 cars! These need this system the most!
Thanx again!

Wow!! All I can think now is that there are going to be some seriously POWERFUL 928's running down the roads with this setup!! ![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
I see a lot of threads in the future about wheels and tire upgrades, traction control, etc!!!

"Loren, correct me if I'm wrong, but to make sense of the programming of the chip (I/O, gain, skew, etc.) without copying the map values doesn't seem to be a copyright violation. Does Autothority pay royalties or something?" -Old & New -
Just because Autothority doesn't pay royalties, doesn't prove that their use
of the Porsche/Bosch microcode isn't a violation. Porsche/Bosch has every right then
and now to "go after" copyright violators. They're still using the intellectual property
of Porsche/Bosch to sell their product.

Guess you have a reading problem!
"Porsche gave up their rights years ago when they didn't go after the first people to write 928 chips. No copyright, no violation." -FlyingDog -
Wrong! You just don't give up your copyrights. Do a little legal research.
These copyright issues are very problematic and of concern to Rennlist.
Bottom line: The above is something to be aware of.
