928 market update- Excellence
December's issue of Excellence just arrived with Bruce Anderson's Market value analysis of the 928.
Very nice detailed write up with upbeat prices. Check it out. Also first in depth drive/review of the new Cayman.
Could be "Porsche's best driver's car yet "!!
Can't wait for the 09 Pamamera (V8 or V10 power). Now that's a true heir to the 928 throne. Hope I can afford it.

I have the Dec 04 market update, but haven't gotten the 05 yet!!!! Have to hound the mailman for that one! Did the prices go up again? I hope so!
I agree that the Panmera or Panamerica (whatever the name) will be the next heir apparant to the 928...especially if it is a two door or a two door handle 4 door! Bummer is it will be well over $100K...probably closer to $130K for a V10 :>( I guess its 928's for me until a Panamera gets to be about 5 years old!

Does article still repeat few simple mistakes that have plagued those stories for years like GTS production numbers and non existence of '89 GT? Basically same article were run for year, only market data changed and even it didn't keep up with the market very well. Hope this latest is not same old same old.

I missed that, does anyone remember seeing or contributing to it.

If you compare articles from year to year, you see that the exact same text is copied verbatim in most places. So, he didn't conduct a poll this year; he's just repeating what he said a year ago.
Somebody needs to write a letter to him and Excellence, complaining about his questionable work ethics (copying article text from years past) and false claims (saying he got input from Rennlist members but actually didn't this year).
I have less and less respect for BA with each passing day....

If he didn't ask here, that doesn't mean he didn't solicit price information from Rennlist members....just might not have solicited price information on Rennlist.

The 04 numbers are absurd..... why would a 1988 be $5,000 more than 1987 for both low and high ? it is the SAME car just 17 or 18 years old ...ridiculous ! And an 89 GT is LESS than an 88 S-4 ? I believe that Excellence does NOT PAY for articles and relies on volunteers to submit copy...they often get what they paid for ...

Bruce Anderson's Market report is for Bruce Anderson only. He doesn't know the market and has no data to back up his reports.... I'm amazed that this "report" is still published..

Bruce Anderson did ask for data last year. It was in the summer of 2004. You guys just don't remember. I sent my terrible trade in value on the moosgrun 81. Ugh. Don't remind me. I'll do some sleuthing for the archives. I saw it here on Rennlist. The post said, "be nice to Bruce" or something and don't harangue after him. However, there was no such poll this year that I know of.
