Holy Smoke Batman!
I suspect Bill's tires are getting smaller and smaller all the time
Tire Rack should come up with a monthly payment plan with
loyalty discounts built in...

Sunset on our trip down...
The first arrivals at the Hotel. Sharkskins on the left and my 86.5 on the right.
We arrived very late the night before (1am) and when we were unloading the car we heard quite the racket above as Dave was madly trying to look out the window to ensure his shark was safe!
A few of those "Fat and Lazy" 928's headed for the fun run.
I was behind Jim Bailey on the fun run and could not for the life of me keep up with the very brown 928. What a perfect way to road test a new (to me 928) by hauling *** up a hill trying to keep up with Jim and the rest of the pack!
We (PacNWers) skipped the lunch on Sunday after the fun drive and convoyed north.
Here is Chris Ford enjoying a new torque tube in style!
Shortly after that pic Dennis showed up to join our convoy for a short while.
And this morning blazing down the Siskiyou Mountains, Tom M (turbocharged '89 GT) and Chris Ford (Arena Red '87 5sp) leaving little old me in the dust!

From the clip, looks like only the driver side wheel was spinning. Is this right or just an illusion?
I can only get maybe 1/3 of that before the tires hook up and that's with LSD.

What a tremendous event. I can't begin to imagine all the time and energy that Keith/Jennifer, Dan, Mark and all those others whose names will remain anonymous. I met sooo many nice people, and the cars were all so very cool
. Thanks to all of you, and I look forward to next year.

Yes...yes yes!!!.....an absolutely awesome event.....those of you who missed it..you missed it big time...lots of cool and unique sharks out there...from primer to concours...and a weekend of nothing but shark talk.....Can you tell I had a great time
We had an impromptu torque tube replacement session on Chris Fords car (awesome looking arena red 928...) on the morning of the event....Shane sorted out his new 86.5 meteor metallic car...with some help from others....(speaking of which..this car supposedly has a 3.09 rear end..special order...we compared rev ranges in his car to mine..(2.73 GT gears) and in 5th..his revs were about 200 higher than mine at 80mph ....so..who knows...?.))
I also jumped on the windshield deal that Mark A tossed onto rennlist last week..and had an impromptu windshield replacement tech session at the event....and guess what Tony..no rock chips yet....(1100 miles)...
The fun drive was just that...plus....!!! simply awesome view at the top...
It was a pleasure to chat with John Veninger, Tony Harkin, and Porken at the dinner...I'm jealous the Porsche flag that John won.....very nice prize provided by Jennifer (of Socal). plus lots of other prizes...
We made it back in decent time....even with a couple of issues....I now know that a 928 with a bad alternator will allow you to drive for about an hour before the battery craps out....My alternator failed just south of Portland..and it took me to just inside WA....where Shane saved my butt...by stopping and driving me to a parts store for a new battery..and then following me home..just to make sure I got there...thanks again Shane....I owe you one for sure...
SOCAL 928, 928 Int'l....and others involved..you all ROCK!!!!!! See you there next year...![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
