I will get some pics taken. Keep in mind this car sat outside for 5 years in somebody's driveway and needs paint. Something mentioned gave me an idea.
The PO I got this car from purchased it in 1985. I just figured the original owner before him must have repainted the car or something, because the 16" Phone Dial Rims were painted white, as is the car. Perhaps that was part of the package?
Either way, I will get some pics taken and scan in a copy of the spec sheet. It is nice to see somebody has a J25 package and is as confused as I am. I'll get it up here as soon as I can, provided the servers aren't down for the 6th try in a row. LOL.. (okay okay, I know the admins are working on it..)

AFAIK, '80-'81 automatics did not come with LSD, with the Comp Group, unless specifically ordered. (Ask me how I know.
) I'm not sure about the manual cars.
'82 manuals might have come with it though?

Alrighty.. I will take more pics later, but found this on my computer from one of the first days I got the car. You can notice that the rims are painted (albeit chipping off) white.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

FWIW...
when i I was debating whether to get a 944 or 928, I ran across a 944 with an option code that could not be found (for that car it started with an 'i'. Not found on any of the options lists or anything.
My research found that back in those times, Porsche would occasionally group options together into "packages" to boost sales - my guess is they were options that were probably popular at the time and would sell cars from the lot that were not special ordered.
If if that is the case for 928s as well, the options could be anything. In the case of this particular 944, it included things like headlight washers, rear window wiper, and I think a particular radio, as those items were not listed separately but the car had them.
Hope this helps -

Porsche data system is full of Innn options. Its basically just another way of saying Mnnn. I vs M might mean something but number definitely means same option. Almost all '80-95 928 options lists contain at least one I code. Meaning can't be that special. They are so common that when checking for codes common thing is just to change them to M code.
