I don't know how to feel about this.....really. Kinda like when I turned 40, I was sure there was an upside to it, but I couldn't determine what it might be.....
I'm with Dave and Bill. Now it should be really easy to not worry about putting miles on it.
My '91 turned 77,000 this evening. When it turned 30 I felt a little weird. When it turned 50 I felt really weird. By 65 I realized that each and every mile on this car was so so much fun that I quit worrying about it. I'm now looking forward to 8 to 10 more years and seeing it turn 150k.

When I was a kid, few cars made it to 100K. Now they are just getting in their stride.
Go ahead, crack open that bottle of synthetic lubricant that you have been saving for a special occasion. If it's any consolation, my beemer is cruising on to 229K. Still pulls like a train.
On a more serious note, my 80 OB has 56K, and needs major sorting out. I may have to break into the piggy bank, as it is getting hard to walk by the old girl without feeling guilt. I have no doubt that the best way to keep these cars running is to drive them.
So ... Use it or loose it !!

My 90GT had 108000 miles on the clock when I bought it
That's nothing for these cars, like Daniel says the more usage the better.
Some things will wear out faster, but other things will break if it is not driven it seems.(my OB has almost the same milage and it is from 81)
Cheers/Peter

My 1990 GT has 220,000 miles on the clock. Everything bar the engine is original. I still do 8:40 min on the Nurburgring on 245/45/16

P.S. The engine had a total rebuilt 12,000 miles ago...
